The 1200 is just too big and heavy. My Dorsoduro 750 is way more fun to ride, lighter, more mobile...especially if you take it offroad...I have been riding BMX all my life and really the 750 feels like a big dirt bike...if you want something with lots of horse power heavy and not mobile go get a pure sports bike...I have had a bunch of Hypermotards watching my plate number; the KTM is nothing special; another German ugly product...

@cedo83 Right on man! By the way, putting on the 750 model, a GPR stabilizer makes LOTS of difference...also after removing the super heavy default exhaust with an aftermarket titanium one makes the bike significantly lighter...I got MIVV Suono and they are AWESOME!

I was looking on Aprilia site, on tests in different newspapers in my country.. You can't find dry weight, wonder why.

these bikes are fucking trash. go out and buy any race bike made for moto cross like a CRF450R and i bet it will still rape these even with 2 times the engine size. so fucking heavy these bikes. and you can jump these 200 feet if you need to lol

@staticxmako And that 450 will take a highway curve rock solid at 128 MPH, do power wheelies (NOT clutch-ups) up to 80 MPH (120 RWHP DYno HP's)? And Brembo Monoblocks to suck speed down from 142 MPH at the end of a track day straight-a-way? Then get me to the beach 50-miles a way smiling the whole way--at which point I park it and answer questions and/or thank people for the comments and compliments. TRUE supermoto is a dying form. This is a real motorcycle.

"Insane"' is what I aim for. And find. On the KTM. Accurate review IMHO. The Ape is a very nice motorcycle (ridden both). The duc is the betweener. But KTM for me. I have Motohooligan box/PC III tuning/Akra full titanium system and 120 RWHPs. I also removed 33 pounds (including lithium battery). Yahoo!
