  • I'm jealous of everything of marilyn. No wonder all these hoes in hollywood TRYING so bad to be like her. She's PERFECT.

  • 8:50 RUDE!! haha

  • i think marilyn's husband in this film is dealing with her quite well. if she was my girlfriend...(i pause for quick daydream) then i would be a nervous wreck.

  • the couple taking the photos "she sure has got an armful of groceries" husband delay into big cheesy grin. when was this film made early 60s?. were people really like that,i thought it was just soap commercials, where life polite and rosy, but this is a character film, i presume, so were people really that err... wholesome then, only 50 years ago, but then same gap from them to stuffy edwardians same 50yrs. oh man our grandkids are gonna be so lairy and lewd, ..Maybe swing in tother direction?

  • Listen, for a dress like that you gotta start laying plans when you're about 13, HAHAHAHA absolutely immortal!

  • i lover her so much! she had such a talent that so many took for granted

  • OMG I need that lovely pink dress...of course it would never fit any other woman like..that. lol xD

  • "Bring out the fire hose," to his wife. Om what a putz.

  • she is beautiful.. but I still find elizabeth taylor most beautiful.. well when she was younger of course

  • Marilyn Monroe is really gorgeous and I love that hot pink dress that she is wearing!!

  • marilyn could light up the screen.

  • no her natural color is a mix between brunette and red

  • @ma121887 She was a natural blonde. Her hair was platinum blonde till she was a teenager.

  • @Razzlebaby84 Monroe had natural Auburn hair

  • @SuicideDoII Not when she was a kid. It was very light blonde. It got darker in her early-ish teens.

  • She would have been in her eighties now.

  • is the colour of her dress pink?

  • magic Marilyn!!!!!

  • her hair is naturally dark blonde guys but they didnt like the color so they changed her to ash blond

  • The close ups on Marilyn was intentional. The director ordered the camera man to focus on her assets. She was so beautiful. RIP

  • why did u come out and break the record.?? I think she was trying to tick him off

  • Marilyn has got to be the most beautiful woman ever!

Absolutely stunning and an amazing actress. God I love her!

  • This motion picture was made over 5 decades ago and it endured the test of time.

  • I love this song " kiss me", it's very nostalgique to me........great

  • She was one of the most beautiful women of our time. Sophisticated, demure, and the most sexy woman ever to grace our planet. What a lovely voice she had as well. She was at her best in this film. Sad she died so young. x

  • how old was she in this?

    34? any one know?

    If so please post

    thx!

  • it came out in '53 so she would've been 27.

  • In this movie marilyn is 27 years old!

  • Sorry, my mistake! She was 26!!

  • wtf wus the point of playin a song if she just walked away

  • Uhh... she can obviously still hear it after walking away... durr.

  • I love marilyn monroe the most despite knowing there were other actresses just as good or better at the time.

idk why, i just love her, have done since i was five or six yrs old. But then again, I'm sortof with most of the world on that.

  • i just dont get it why does that guy keep grambing her arm at the start of the video like if she was in trouble or a little kid lol

    oh well

  • Lol..Jean Peters looks like a scared child at 2:54. I just love her! I love Marilyn as well, but Jean never got the attention she deserved in this!

  • niagara falls is cool to visit, but for a honeymoon? not really.

  • Man ! Poor Joseph Cotton really got pissed off ! Guess Marilyn must have been doing one of her no no's. I gotta buy the DVD! If not for the story, then atleast for that RED DRESS ! WOO- WOOOOOH! ! !

  • The expression on Marilyns face is hillarious when he came out and broke the record. LOL!

  • right after the couple purchases tickets for the Cave of the Winds. That good looking dark haired fellow passing out the boots is my Grandpa Dave!!

  • How did he get the part? Was he an actor? Or were they filming on location and he was local?

    Story, please!

  • to be honest in some younger pictures of marilyn, she looks like she's strawberry blonde or auburn

  • I think too her hair was more strawberry blonde In old photos I've seen . After she took Hollywood by storm, the bleaching began. She was so lovely.

  • thats the coloring they used to do on the old black and white photos. my middle school teacher was like 58 and she brought some old photos of herself and they had that coloring thing. but anyways... marilyn was blonde when she was a little girl. and then her hair started to get darker, but not as far as brunette, i guess u could call it ash brown or blonde.

  • she was beautiful

  • "Get out the Fire Hose"

    Gaud-damn, Gaud-damn!

  • Wow, Marilyn even looks flawless in the shower :)

  • I agree with you, makeuptipsy, I want that lipstick too!

  • marilyn's natural hair color was brown she was a burnette....but later she decided to paint it blond....

  • no, she wasnt a total brunette, she was more of a dirty blonde, but in the old photos she looks more like a brunette. she said it herself in a interview.

  • I always thought she looked like a strawberry blond in the old photos. Gorgeous no matter what color.

  • No...I agree with you...her hair was brunette....It was much darker than a dark blonde....

  • well thats what i read in her biography that she was a burnette

  • She definately was..your are correct...

  • Ahe had red hair like her mother

  • Woah everything looks so different. Niagara Falls sucks D:

  • The plastic surgery she had was very minor, and even if she didn't have the same dazzling beauty without the makeup and the glamorous clothes, she was a very good-looking woman. In my opinion, Marilyn was even more beautiful without the makeup, especially in her later years. There have been many girls who had the same help from talented makeup men, airbrushers and photographers she had, but no one who stands out the way she does from pictures. But then of course, that's just my opinion :)

  • If you look on page 3 you can find a good explanation to that:)

  • "for a dress like that you have to___________"

i dont get what she said....explanation?

  • Kandiiqueen, her quote is: "for a dress like that you have to start laying plans when you're about 13". I guess she means mentally planning on developing those curves (puberty) because the brunette knows she couldn't fill up the top. That's just my guess but I don't see any other explanation.

  • ...start laying plans when you are about 13.' It means that you have to develop a body that will fill out the dress in such a hot way. No point in wearing a dress like that if you don't have the figure for it. So it's a joke: when you hit puberty, start 'planning' the kind of body you will have when you are old enough to wear a dress like that.

  • Someone get me that red lipstick. You can sleep with it on, shower with it, and kiss men under Niagara falls with it and it won't smudge!

  • Yes! Just what I was thinking. I went looking at comments to see if anyone else wondered about that incredible lipstick. She must lay it on with a trowel.

  • @makeuptipsy My mother had some lipstick (more of a lip stain) like that in the '50s. It really did last for days. Everything now is designed to wear off in 5 seconds just so companies can sell more :-(.

  • marilyn was different it wasn't just about her looks, it was something she projected. her acting was suberp it's just that the company used her. if you don't like marilyn don't watch her movies and complain!

  • I agree with alot you said, but I actually liked the movie. I like Joseph Cotten and the cinematography. Love the bell version of Kiss too. Nobody looked better in a pink dress either.

  • If you hate marilyn, then why comment?

The fact that she is still remembered and adored proves that she was simply amazing!

  • The logo comes from the media converter program. Marilyntkm didn't put the logo there on purpose, it comes up when you use the trial version of the programme.

  • Oh. Well, sorry, Marilyntkm; I hereby redirect all my vitriol at The Media Converter Program.

  • Marilyn is GORGEOUS

  • Thank you so much for putting this up!! It was very kind of you! (I don't mind the logo! And you haven't wrecked it!!) Thank you so much!

  • what does she mean when she says you have to start planning when your 13 to wear a dress like that?

  • hoping for a good body shape to fit a dress like that.

  • Jean Peters is very sexy too!!

  • It's not true that she had no talent to act

In fact, she was a good actress far way better than so many nowadays stars

  • omg that scared me when she saw then kissing the music god..lol

  • Mr. Loomis seems to suffer from Schizophrenia. Somebody's bound to get killed.

  • no i don't is the music that scared me

  • no i don't is the music that scared me

  • I know! Hahaha It's meant to be scary! ;)

  • Jane Russell - brunette bombshell

  • In Marilyns younger pics she looked like a red head to me. I think thats why the blonde suited her so well. When she was a child she said she had white hair.

  • blond, blond, blond, bond blondies are the best!!!

  • Us Blondes are dangerous!!!!

  • Marilyn was a natural brunette, not a blond!

natural blonds are dumms j/k :D

  • That's regardless, Marilyn was still a blonde!

  • yea, but when she died her her blonde.

  • lol i know, but that doesn't have anything to do with her affect on people as a blonde.

  • well of course since DURING her career her hair were dyed blonde and she became a blonde bombshell.

  • blond, blond, blond.

i guess you're just too obsessed with blonds.

the only thing i see in the words blond and bombshell is that they start with the letter b, nothing else.

In fact Marilyn got criticized by many for being a "dumb blonde."

and it wasn't her fault, it was her blond hairs fault.

  • Okay, then please direct me to an example of a reference to a 'brunette bombshell' mentioned along with Marilyn, Jean, and the blondes.

"In fact Marilyn got criticized by many for being a "dumb blonde."

and it wasn't her fault, it was her blond hairs fault."

No, it was mainly the fault of Fox giving her dumb blonde roles. Grace Kelly and Doris Day were also blondes, yet never had dumb blonde images.

  • hahaha, well FOX was the one who made her famous through the roles they gave.

  • Yes, your point being?

  • right.

  • lol

  • NATURAL brunettes are still SMART! :]

    Marilyn was one too.

  • Hair colour doesn't have anything to do with intelligence.

But blondes, dyed or not, do have a special effect on people. The famous blondes through time have proved this.

  • i didn't mean that colors do, but usually brunettes are smarter!

Besides not all blonds do have "special effect" on people unless they are PRETTY!

famous or not, blond or not, pretty or ugly, MARILYN MONROE is the only actress of whom i NEVER get tired of watching, even if her hair was dyed blue!

  • "i didn't mean that colors do, but usually brunettes are smarter!"

Hair colour has nothing to do with intelligence.

"famous or not, blond or not, pretty or ugly, MARILYN MONROE is the only actress of whom i NEVER get tired of watching, even if her hair was dyed blue!"

I respect your opinion but could you imagine Marilyn being the same iconic bombshell if she remained brunette? I disagree. Her hair colour had a lot to do with her image and appeal.

  • well may be not, but that doesn't mean she's a bombshell because of her blond hair either.

she's just unique in every way, the lines of her face, her eyes (not that they are blue), her being a super fine actress, and etc...

  • No, but there are a number of factors necessary for the 'bombshell persona'. Blonde hair is one of them. When you hear mention of the famous bombshells (Jean, Jayne, Mamie), a brunette is not one of them.

  • besides the TRUE definition for bombshell is a pretty voluptuous figure and a pretty sensational face as well as talent.

  • There is no standardized definition for what makes a 'bombshell'. Many people dislike Jean Harlow's looks, and she is a bombshell. Mamie Van Doren wasn't a talented actress, yet she is a bombshell. When Mae West got out of shape she still remained a bombshell. However when referring to bombshells, it is only the blondes who are mentioned. Though I agree having a voluptuous figure (natural or not) is also a necessary requirement.

  • well that's just your opinion, i said what was accepted by people.

    end of story.

  • And that is YOUR opinion.

    xx

But there are no brunette bombshells :)

  • i'm a brunette bombshell

  • Oh, I see. So a person's mental capabilities is definable by their hair color? Do you have scientific proof to back that up?

As a natural blonde myself, I find it insulting that a lot of people automatically assume that blondes (dyed or not) are less intelligent than brunettes or redheads for that matter. I was born with this hair color and have kept it, which is extremely rare in the world today, which is a source of tremendous pride for me. I agree that blondes do have something special

  • So what about famous brunettes? Liz Taylor, Ava Gardner, Gene Tierney, Vivien Leigh, Natalie Wood (just to name a few). I'm huge Marilyn fan but it wasn't her blonde hair that made her famous but certain charisma and sex appeal that some women do possess (blondes or not).

  • There are many famous brunettes too, but they do not have the same kind of appeal or image that blondes do. I think Marilyn may also have found success as a brunette, but she would have had much different status and surely would not have found the same success.

  • Marilyn was hardly 'outrageous'; She was sexy for her time, but nothing compared to the likes of Mae West and Jean Harlow in the 20's and 30's or Bettie Paige in 50's. Men had long before seen the sex appeal Marilyn sold; they do half a century later and are still affected by it. Your claim that anyone could have found fame as MM did is highly arguable; hordes of girls worked for what Marilyn did and used just as many means. As for her sexiness not being 'subtle', that is entirely relative.

  • Marilyn was quite outrageous for the time. In the mid fifties when she was fed up with the way she was treated by Fox she defied them and in turn caused the first major cracks in the Studio System. And by defying her studio with whom she had a contract she was considered very outrageous at the time & the famous pose she did for The Seven Year Itch in '55 was considered quite outrageous too. Perhaps she wasn't like Mae & Jean but she's still remembered today which is what's really important.

  • why has everyone disapproved with what this person has said? marilyn monroe was beautiful but it wasn't really her, her eyebrows her hair her nose her chin they wern't even her eyelashes! she was beautiful but wasnt natural her features stood out with makeup she looked nothing like she did with her curly hair before she was famous, and i reckon she looked way differently personaly photos were airbrushed edited and film had different lightings, we have opioons doesnt mean we are aganist her

  • well, i guess you havent seen her photos without make up and with her hair not brushed, she looks even better, search for the photos, i guess they are from 1960 or so. her skin was flawless even with no make up.

  • @izbiz24 Hundreds of pictures exist of Norma Jeane the model and starlet. She was a very pretty girl. She HAD to be to BECOME a popular model and starlet. Her procedures were minor, and the chin implant actually disolved in a few years and she didn't bother replacing it. The greatest "natural" beauties of Hollywood were all "improved" in one was or another. That's how it was then, and that's how it is now. Why is MM the one who gets trashed for it?

  • She didn't have a 'snarling' mouth. When she smiled, she tended to show too much gums (she has a short filtrum - the part between the upper lip and the nose). She was always trying to bring her upper lip down a bit, so she didn't show gums, and it resulted in that characteristic 'thing' she does with her upper lip. I find it kind of fascinating, a quirk that no one else has, and no Marilyn impersonator can possibly do without if she wants to seem authentic.

  • @LitCrit101 and it turned out to be unintentionally sexy. :)

  • I thought she looked great with her original red hair. She just looked great period I guess.

  • her hair was naturally brown, not red. She did have red hair at one point and she looked beautiful.

  • although I don't really judge people by hair color, i do think that part of the reason she may have been more famous because she was blond is that the exact shade she had was less common than alot of other hair colors. i believe that the only hair color that would've made her more famous is red because it's the rarest of all the colors.

  • her hair was naturally dark red, auburn, like her mothers. She had a good deal of freckles & very fair skin in her youth

  • actually, marilyn's natural hair color was dark blond. as a child her hair color was pale plond and darkened to dirty blond as she grew older. as a movie star, her hair became white platinum blond.

  • i dont think marilyn looked more beautiful than in that pink dress singing KISS, perfection

  • thank you

  • thank you

  • its that jean peters ?

  • Yes it is!

  • Out of this world ! Marilyn was one of the most beautiful women ever existed on this earth, her body was GREAT, and how she walked ! her walking, her poses, the luminous of that face, her beauty was unbeleivable

  • moreno ,marilyn is very pretty in this movie , i love her here
