@MrOmonoiatis I've seen around 105mph on the speedo. With taller gearing it would probably be capable of around 125-130mph. But I have short gearing for around town riding, it's better for wheelies too. :)
hey got a question ive been debating on getting either the 450x or 450r i want eletric start but the X has an extra 30 pounds and less low end they are geared differntly can you pull a wheelie in 4th gear on the X? i know you can on the ktm exc450 but that is a 6 speed so power ratios are much diff
@sabbathian Not sure, I think honda claims 250 lbs dry. But I think mine is lighter than that with the modifications I've done. Someday I'll put it on a scale and know for sure, but I'm guessing it's around 235 like it sits.
@sabbathian standard is about 55bhp at the crank, i know it is about 55-60hp on a 250 2stroke mx bike, which these directly compete with, so its a good guess :)

@stip27 It's electric start. I don't have an ignition switch with a key, I have the bike wired so the handlebar switch controls everything. I just flip the switch and hit the start button. If you're worried about it getting stolen you could just wire up a master kill switch and hide it under the gastank somewhere. I've thought about doing that myself, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
@stip27 well if you want to be safe you need to lock it, a key wont really do, maybe on newer bikes idk about them but other then that just to put it in neutral and walk away with it, unless its locked that is, dont have to be started for someone to take it, also why i keep my bike, or well kept (sold it) inside during nights

That being said, if you would turn up your volume, you would hear that I adjusted the sound of the video so you could hear the bike in the background. I can hear it just fine, but maybe some sound got lost between the states and Australia.

Sweet vid man. I'm looking at getting a supermoto right now and have been looking at the Suzuki DRZ 400 SM , but that Honda looks pretty sweet and I was wondering what you thought of your bike.
How did you get your bike street legal? I have a 2005 crf 450x I wanna do this same thing I live in WA but i hear its really difficult to get the licence!? Any tips anyone??
It's not hard to get a supermoto titled for the street in Texas, but you'll have to look into that for yourself where ever you live. The 450x has been very reliable so far, I just geared it tall so it will cruise comfortably on the highway, but not to tall so it's still fun around town. And for your last question, I use the clutch to wheelie sometimes, and I also just throttle it up. The bike has TONS of low end torque, so it will wheelie pretty much on command. :)
Cool video. The camera handles going in and out of the sunlight pretty well in the park. However, you have way more patience than me with slow cars! Keep it up!

How did you get your bike street legal? I have a 2005 crf 450x I wanna do this same thing I live in WA but i hear its really difficult to get the licence!? Any tips anyone??

It's not hard to get a supermoto titled for the street in Texas, but you'll have to look into that for yourself where ever you live. The 450x has been very reliable so far, I just geared it tall so it will cruise comfortably on the highway, but not to tall so it's still fun around town. And for your last question, I use the clutch to wheelie sometimes, and I also just throttle it up. The bike has TONS of low end torque, so it will wheelie pretty much on command. :)

Cool video. The camera handles going in and out of the sunlight pretty well in the park. However, you have way more patience than me with slow cars! Keep it up!
