Stored food will be taken by mobs. Most preppers under-estimate the degree of violence when the stores are out of food. Some have shotguns, etc. to protect their food and water; but have you considered how you will dispose of dead bodies after you kill people trying to get your supplies? Too many preppers, both LDS and non-LDS, think they can survive with freeze dried foods and barrels of water. Sit and ponder the reality of hungry mobs breaking into your home. Be prepared to kill or starve.
@dwightinutah Thank you for your comment. I would rather be the person with the food then the person trying to take the food. I believe we are aware of how ugly it can get. And we are prepared.
@dwightinutah What a sad excuse to not be prepared.. the more of us who do will be able to share.. for me it is one of the reasons I do prep.. And us LDS know what our scriptures tell us about feeding the poor, or clothing them. Those who force themselve on those who have are nothing more than what we have going on in some of our cities... take from the rich.. or take from those who are prepared, because they don't want to have to work for it aand prepare themselves!
Glad you mentioned about the water bottles. That's why I don't have any also storing in just seal a meal watch out for weavels they can eat right through!
Great channel brother and good information. I also follow another YT channel that shows people how to use food storage to keep variety going. Her channel is EverydayFoodStorage.
@gettinready100 That is a great question. Yes it does if you follow the Wendy DeWitt "Sensible Food Storage" method. You can buy her current DVD online or view an older one on Youtube. My food storage includes, chicken enchiladas, garlic bread, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, etc.
I keep packs of toilet paper under my bed. 😃

@SpAzZyWoNdErZ Excellent. I think the easiest, cheapest and most compact way to store toilet paper is used phone books. What do you think?

@BexarPrepper We have found mylar bags or metal cans are the best for long term storage. I know some preppers use 5 gallon buckets with success too.

@BexarPrepper Food grade DE sprinkled around your storage area , on , in bags will not allow bugs at all. I love the stuff.
