Yes there is. Its been around for ages and its called Rockbox. It thrashes the firmware.

actually, you can't get ipodlinux on the new ipod nanos, so either this is real, or he loaded a ton of pictures into his photo album

rockbox works with 1 and 2G nanos ;)

cpitney... In fact it's quite easy to get video playing on iPod nano. You just have to install the iPod linux. I've done that and it works. But I still hope that the coverflow on ipod wouldn't be a fake because it would be really cool!

it should be a fake, you record the cover flow, play it in ur iPod, then hit the hold button, then sync the video with ur fingers...

but if its real, i respect u man...
