that is so cool. We have always treated animals as unthinking machine type things where the only thing they can do is repeat processes we have taught them. This vid shows how wrong this is, as when chi chi decides it isnt working he tries a different strategy. And this is a bird!

Parakeets take time and patience. It's good to build a good bond before having them come out of the cage. Use treats and rewards to show them when they're doing well, and don't get discouraged when they don't leave the cage right away. Take baby steps.
