but if he is dead, it can be explained! it is like "terminator" the first movie remember, imagine that you go back to the past and you watch yourself when you were a kid being killed by somone, you are not going to desappear (desintegrate or something) you will be there and if go back to the future, in that future you are not going to exist, you will have no history, but you will still be there!

Ben is not dead, He was knocked unconscious by Sun with the oar. He is just hurt. So think about it, if he is alive in 2007, our 815ers know him since they crashed, are they supposed to "un know " him because he died when he was a kid?! (Let me help you , the answer to that is NO). and if he died, then who was the man they all remember as Ben if he didn't exist? sigh...

and if you remember the first time we see ben on the island when lock sees him he is dead (probably because his past self got killed, so he no longer really lives in the world)
