I just got a PSP 3000, Im a new PSP owner but I have used a friends PSP Fat and regarding the screen issue, the new model's screen is a lot clearer and sharp, I really cannot see any interlacing issues and if there are, it may only be present very briefly on moving images or if you look really closely. The quality is razor sharp and better than the ghosting issue with the 1st PSP. If youre wondering which PSP to buy then go for the 3000 because this alleged 'problem' doesnt exist.

Funny Story : When i first got my PSP 3000 Slim i got the memory card,charger,the system itself,instructions,quick start guide and stuff, but the battery was so black it blended in with the packaging and i didn't see it.I was freaking out, until i finally got my mom and she just picked up my case and grabbed the battery right out of it's placement.
