Thanks so much for posting this! This song takes me back to the good old days. WBLS and 98.7 KISS in New York used to jam this all the time back in 1983.
OMG i remember this with great fondness, it was and still is a monster.A gentle floor filler and every soulboy thought he could sing this on the dancefloor to his girl.I know i did.
Another NYC production from around 84, now almost forgotten. Used to hear this along with the voice of god in NYC, announcer Vaughn Harper of WBLS FM NYC.
Love this tune ... brings back memories of when I was in love and my ex made me a tape, but it was melancholic. Does anyone remember the tune 'It's a beautiful morning to be with the one you love'?
OMG!! I had a dream last night about this song. Haven't heard it since '83. Classic! I agree w/doublelove...didn't think about youtube til now. Fastflyer2007...thanks so much for sharing!
Excellent, surprising production from the guy who did Sharon Redd's Beat The Street (Eric Matthew) the year before. Every time I play this at a party ,people who have heard it run over and ask where they can get it,or people who haven't rush over and ask Who the H*** is that. Has that special effect.....LOL
I don't know why I didn't think to search for this on YouTube till now. Thank you, I love this song! Haven't heard the 6 minute version of this on 16 years, it brought tears to my eyes. Blends nicely with Billy Griffin's "Hold Me Tighter In The Rain". Again, Thank You!
Please please Dont ever pull this one off Youtube ! one of the Best records Ever! Heard it the first time on the Robbie Vincent Show on Radio London "The Big L" All those years back and still Loving it !!!
Gor this on Streetwave. Think I was a Southwark College at the time. I credit this with getting my reggae only pal into soul circa 1983. He still loves playing it now. Played too death in the various sound systems we played in. Simply brilliant.
Had this on 12" - Procured from Red Records when they were still in Soho. The guy in the shop insisted on playing it (one last time) before I left the shop. Tune, you have to smile.
Thanks for posting this lovely track. No doubt i've heard you play this on the radio when i was a nipper! This also reminds me of Tony Blackburn on BBC Radio London during the school holidays!
Got this on 12" vinyl-no decks to play it on-(Oh The Days!!!)-searched ITunes & Limewire-no joy-does anyone know where I can get this from apart from here of course!!
WOW! never thought i'd ever hear this song ever again ~thankyou for the memories you just brought back. :)

I knew this track because of "delegation". Do you know which one is the original?
funkybrezhoneg 4 years ago
I didn't know there was another version. You'll have to post it on YouTube!
fastflyer2007 4 years ago
well, I will do that when I had time to work on. Delegation used the title "I figure I'm out of your life"
funkybrezhoneg 4 years ago
@funkybrezhoneg No, I never knew that either! Thanks. This is terrible, you're corrected on your knowledge by a Breton! :))
loobycliff 1 year ago
@funkybrezhoneg The original is by Delegation (1982) because Arnie's Love is from 1983. I prefer the latter though
