i ordered one of these but they werent instock yet so i was using my rotor and my friend has an extra prophecy and i gotta say i like the prophecy alot better
I love my Prophecy, started having trouble with my Rotor jamming and the reverse/anti-jam wouldn't engage. So I got a Prophecy, which has ran flawless from day 1. It's a little hard to get use to when your putting it back together but once you get it down it's way easy.
My team recently received a sponsorship from kee, and We ordered our empire packages(events, pants, jerseys, prophecy, etc) and I've had a rotor for quite a while...but looking at the prophecy I think I will like it a quite a bit more than my rotor,,,I like how easy the rotor is to disassemble though, so I will miss being able to tear apart everything and running back out on the field in 30 seconds, so the only noticeable downside i see is the inability to disassemble it quickly.
Again, they really aren't that complicated after a little practice. Check out the video Prophecy - Detailed Body Shell Assembly.wmv which talks you through the main points to look out for in detail. With a little practice you will be able to do it quickly and easily.
i like how the prophecy is lighter, thats a BIG+, but i like how the rotor is extremely simple, and has fewer parts, but i like the reliability of the rotor a little more... truth be told, ive owned both, and i think prophecy has a little bit of an edge on the rotor

My reloader B wouldn't feed with full batteries and nothing damaged after a year, the sound activation died out. Plus magnetic lids love to open when diving, who cares how easy they are to open. The backplate flatness would be odd to shoot with, its like a big square. Overall not going to lie, i believe the Rotor is the best hopper on market right now, but thats because halo related designs have ruined tournaments and days of play for me. thats my opinion, don't hate on it prophecy kids.
i really like my prophecy but i got a few problems like if you dive in to your bunker the lid flies right open and dissambly is a breeze but trying to put those 2 back peices together is a pain other than that its a great loader!
Sry still not a fan. As a team we have had to replace 7 shells, a speedfeed and have had to re solder 2 motor harnesses, which seem to be made of a low grade wire (i assume nickel, looked like 3 strand twist on mine). On top of this a complete tear down and reassembly of the loader is not easy, and i mean taking it down to the board for an extreme mess
In their defense, PB solutions has been willing to fix these problems however IMO these problems shouldn't have been and issue to begin with.
An Improvement to the design would be a 2 piece horizontal split. Allowing a solid rigid feed neck. I also recommend removing the toggle switch as it is too easy to accidentalely turn off and is not easily visible to notice if you have or not. Also it is too easy for the loader to accidentelely sinc with an RF transmitter not belonging to the owner. I hope for a better 2nd gen of this loader but for now it is just not for me.
You are correct that they shouldn't have been issues to begin with and I apologize for that. We were let down by our manufacturer and it took a while for us to catch it and to get everything straightened out.
You make some great points and all of them have been addressed or are being addressed currently.
The body and speedfeed issues were caused by the same plastics screw up. This is resolved and the updated shells are available to anyone who has had problems.
In reply to speedychef84 to stop the RF syncing with someone elses RF you simply need to sync it with your own gun.
All new Prophecies come with the RF turned off to stop accidental syncing with other people for players that are not using RF and want to use just sound activation.
The current units shipping are very different and significantly improved over the first units that shipped.
We are also working on some very cool upgrade stuff that takes care of people that don't like the current toggle switch or settings system. It's seriously cool and should be out soon... it will again be fully compatible with any Prophecy already sold. :)
yes, dont be turned off by any problems people seem to be having with these loaders. on the rare ocasion that they do break they will fix it asap. great products and customer service!
Hello simon what will be the futer upgrades for the new prophecy. Is it safe to use in wet conditions because my halo v35 bored shorted out and went bang so in my opinion you should also be looking to make the boreds water proof. other than that i think the prophecy has the edge over the rotor due to the fact that you can change the capacity and you can have different torque settings and all the rest , so you get your moneys worth where with the rotor you dont get any options.
I have left it out to dry but that was about 6 months ago and it is still the same. All it does is when the battery pack is conected it start putting power directly to the motore and i found one of the chips on the bottem right corner gets realy hot. You can still turn the bored on and it will slow down the motor but it wont stop it at all, it is allmost like there is a bridge going strate to the motor from the bored. i have subscribed so ill be keeping my eyes peald
Good point. I believe it is quicker to put batteries in the Prophecy than the Rotor or Pinokio though. You need a screw driver to put them into a Pinokio don't you?
To simply put batteries in a Pinokio, no, you just slide the tray out and pulg them in. To disassemble for cleaning or troubleshooting, you need a philips-head screwdriver.
I love my prophecy... I still haven't had the feedneck break... I shoot both a Darq Marq and an Ego5 and they work amazing especially with the RF on my Darq. =)
I've tried the rotor and indeed it is a wonderful piece of paintball machinery, but the prophecy is as snipez4664 says, "represents ten years of loader evolution."
The prophecy is still easily the most advanced loader on the market - it is faster yet easier on paint than the rotor, and has less issues with jamming. It represents ten years of loader evolution.
There is absolutely no reason to take the motor of the Rotor apart. Since it comes out as a whole I consider it to be one piece. Just because the Prophecy doesn't have any screws in it, doesn't mean that it's easier to take apart and assemble. It's far more complicated than the Rotor. I am a big fan of yours Simon, and I actually own 2 Rotors and a Prophecy. But too say things like that, just seem like a poor attempt to beat the Rotor in another useless category.
If you leave all of the assemblies together you will still find the Prophecy has less parts/assemblies. My comment was really just a simple statement in reply to your incorrect statement about which has the fewer parts. Saying the Prophecy has more parts when it doesn't.
When counting the Prophecy parts I even took every single magnet out of the drive extension. Obviously there is never a need to do that either. :)
That was a problem with the earlier units because the shells weren't made correctly. We have that fixed now and offer a lifetime warranty for any original purchaser of a Prophecy.
No, its not just a problem with the earlier units. Just about everyone i know including myself has had their feednecks break at least once and some a second time with the newer shells.

The Prophecy board is conformal coated (a waterproof coating) and I have used them in torrential storms and down pours with no issues.
If the switch gets soaked it may stop you turning off the board until it dries out, but once it's dry it will be good to go again.

DrUmZaDdIcT121 2 years ago
Which small parts do you mean? There aren't any small parts unless you completely take the loader apart and that is very rarely, if ever, necessary.
If you do, it has less parts than a Rotor, Halo B or a Magna loader.
manike99 2 years ago
OH REALLY!!? I DIDNT KNOW THAT
randitilian 2 years ago
The Rotor has fewer parts than the Prophecy no matter which way you look at it.
unitedgray 2 years ago
That is unless you use your eyes and know how to count. ;-)
Please take both completely apart and count the pieces. Don't forget tools to completely disassemble the Rotor.
You should find...
The Rotor has 48 parts and sub assemblies (a sub assembly counting as a single part). 17 of which were screws
The Prophecy has 41 parts and sub assemblies. None of which are screws or bolts.
And just for information sakes...
The Magna has 46 parts and sub assemblies. 12 of which were screws or bolts.

When it comes down to the parts you ever need to remove in general to use the loader it's not much of an issue with either loader.
They are both so much simpler and easier than the super loaders of old. I hated working on the old Halo B's.
I love the fact I can completely work on my new loaders without needing a single tool to do anything. :)
