I believe, to correct your backstory on Freddy, he was freed because the evidence was dismissed due to the cop (I think it was Nancy's Father) searching the Krueger home and collecting the gloves, etc, without a search warrant.

you dont know a thing about freddy at all 1. he was not a molester and all of his movies were good. why the hell are you doing a review for a new nightmare do the first the. 2. craven did not want freddy to be a "killing machine" he wanted him to be the way he was in the first 6 films or else he would not have directed them you idoit. 3. this is a all around half-assed review for a wonderful movie this is a pice of shit. so next thime you set out to do a review watch the movies first.

1. Craven had intended for Krueger to be a child molester since it's possibly the only thing worse than killing a child. That decision was altered to simply a murderer.

2. (The real number two) This is the Freddy figure from New Nightmare, not the others.

3. Craven had originally imagined Krueger as being much darker and less comical. Why would he continue doing movies with him differently? Money. Happens all the time in Hollywood.
