I just realized ( and I have this on DVD) that this is the very young Mehta who would eventually conduct the Three Tenors in Caracalla (1990) and Los Angeles (1994)! I feel like such an idiot. What a "duh" moment.

He just conducted the LA Philharmonic last weekend! They did Bartok and Beethoven! Good stuff! :)
