I was happy when they killed the ex gang member in the end of the movie, I have no sympathy for gang members and ex gang members. The girl in this movie is very stupid too, it's sad her family didn't make it though (they seemed like the decent hard working illegal immigrants). Gangs like MS 13 make Central America look bad. It is gangs like MS 13 and drug cartels that makes people dislike Mexicans and Central Americans even more. The movie was good, but not a favorite. I would give it a 7/10

This movie is an AMAZING movie! No one exactly knows what happens in the Mara but from what I heard, once your in it..your in it for life..Maybe some of this actually does happen! Some gangs are sooooo evil that even if you try to escape they will get you..Of course I'm not involved in any gang so I can't be sure, but from what I've read in books and seen in documentarys this CAN happen! 5 stars for this movie:)

Then these gangs have no presence in the north of mexico, and they would never chase a guy all over there just because he decided to leave the gang. This movie is so far away from reality. And i can assure you this because i used to live in the state of Chiapas, and i've worked in a couple of pro-immigrant NGO's in the area.
