    @bandwagonwreck Have you ever read Matthew 7:12? It says: "[...] do to others what you would have them do to you"*. John 8:7? "[...]'If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone' "?* How about Leviticus 19:18? Matthew 22:39? And so on... Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Gospels are Christ's own words and deeds, no? You claim to follow Christ yet you deny Him. Will you hear the cock crow in time?

  • @bandwagonwreck Listen. That was the same book that said it was totally A.OK to marry more than one woman. Same with eating pig. Yet by the New Testament, Peter updated it "for the times" that pig is ok to eat, therefore the bible by then changed its rulling. Peter accepted that things change. And as for being gay... crazy as it may sound to you, as hard as some gays try, they cannot in the least bit change their sexual preference, whether it be for them, their faith, respect or family.

  • Rock on More Lights, I am not among you, but as an Atheist that was raised Presbyterian it brought me great comfort when I met a More Light Presbyterian Minister in Urbana Champaign Illinois at the Mid West Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Queer Ally conference. Just to know that even after that 1990's ruling about no gay teachers in sunday school that , that even Presby's are starting to see the light.

  • Thank you so much. I was wondering whether there would be anything like this from a Presbyterian ministern, considering the lack of support in some parts of the PCUSA. I am a lesbian and was the director of music at a Presbyterian church for years. Despite the congregation having a claim that they were accepting, I never felt that I could be out there, partly because I worked with children in choir, and some parents would suspect that I would be a bad influence. We LGBTQ people deserve better.
