I have a shorty pipe on my cbr with very little baffling in it...I took it to a race shop to get dynoed with an air fuel reading and it was actually pretty rich...the mechanic their said i shouldnt worry about damaging the motor running with this pipe. This whole burning your valves/running lean business is more of a myth than anything! My bike is 100% stock, fuel injected. Some bikes may differ but from my experience running a shorty pipe is harmless!
Question? is it bad for the motor to run with now pipe? I ran straights on my mustang and my dad said it could spin a bearing. Im no mechanic so im clueless.
Unless you rejet the carbs. :) I need to do exactly that on my CBR 600 as i run a very stubby exhaust with no baffling, i've not taken the plugs out but im sure there bright white by now.
fucking awesome bike. sick exhaust!! but ur back tire looks a little slick.......you havent been doing any burnouts have you???? Lol anyways love the bike
Wow, video sounds nothing like the real thing, lol, just picked up an 08 R6S a couple days ago, took the pipe off because I thought it would sound cool, rode it down the street and even with my helment on almost blew out my ears, lol, the note at 5500 RPM sustained is PAINFUL!!!
I did this once when I painted my exhaust.hella loud,but kinda cool.hehe

yes. it is, you can burn up or warp your valves if u run a bike too long with no pipe.
but ur mustang shouldve been fine unless they were shorty headers
