Rosas Pandan - Philippine Madrigal Singers

This version is arranged by George Hernandez, albeit shortened and slightly modified, which seems to be very popular among choirs around the world.

The original is composed by Domingo Lopez and popularized by the Mabuhay Singers. The opening is not "la la la" (Hernandez version) but the playful and tongue-twisting "dung tika dong tika tika dong" and is much, much slower. How I wish there was another version that hew more closely to the original as sung by the Mabuhay Singers.

Filipino na ang kumanta, pero dianig pa ng ibang lahi kung sa husay kumanata, oh baka naman sobra ang arte ng pagkakanta. pakinggan ninyo ang version ng Russian at iyong Spanish choir na kumanta nito, at kayo na humusga kung sino ang magandang version. Kilala pa naman kayo bilang well known mabuhay??????????

There were tons of typos on our sheet music, so we learned "In taw nu sab si Nonoy nag tan aw si Inday" instead of "In taw nu sab si Dodong nag tan aw kang Inday".
