@maritn23 Ya know, I never played the black top to do a direct comparison. The black top is cheaper but I suggest you try both out. I'm sure they will produce a similar sound, but the HH has more versatility between pickups. You should play both and see what feels and sounds better to you. If you go to fender.com you can compare both directly with specs.

@fordgt402 Ah, i have a website for you! need to ask my friend for it again, but they will build any guitar to spec for nearly any budget! It will not be an official fender but will probably be even better built with identical specs and any wood and hardware of your choosing! I'm sure a grand would get you what you want.
Just getting more used to playing again I guess - that, and a slew of pedal effects. Yes, totally self taught and can't read music, but guitar is my recreation. I paint, illustrate and make films. thanks for commenting.
ah, well, played through my mom's 1970's peavey classic with reverb fairly high. I was using my digitech pedal, but don;t recall what it was set on. Actually just remember scrolling through some of the presets and using the wha wha - which you can clearly hear my annoying clanking stomps. Looking to do another vid soon.
(because of the delay and the double-vision cam it gives a bit of the drunk effect , actually , it think it's cool and i could not resist the joke , great playing anyway. )
Do you find the strings easier to bend than most guitars given that ones shorter neck? I'm seriously interested in buying a guitar like this one. Also, does it stay in tune for a reasonable time? Thanks from a wannabe blues player :)
I'm such a blues wannabe myself, but just love the feel of this thing. It is heavier than a strat, but I could not escape the funky ass 1960's look. Holds tune nicely I find, and I bend the crap out of those strings. Since your post, I finally picked it up again after months. Thank you for that.
Cheers! I was totally ready to get a firebird or an SG. Sat and played epi and gibson versions of both but wasn't feeling it. Tried a Les and still no love. Grabbed the jag and LOVED the feel of the fender. The strat is def easier to handle, but the look sold me. Both(strat and jag) have the same comfort and neck feel though. Controls a little funky but you adjust to them. Good luck and thanks for the comment!
Thanks Sly! I was addicted to the guitar when I got it, but haven't played in a month while preparing for the art show. Tried to play this morning and my finger's ached! Yes - band back together!
what do you think about this guitar? i want to buy one but i can deside between this or the black top series, please anser, great playing (:

That's much better playing than in your other HH video. It's like watching a different guitarist.

is it filmed with a "drunk-emulation" cam ?

LOL! Yes, i filmed it with my HD camcorder, but sadly it looks terrible on youtube. Perhaps my tripod was drunk.
Thanks for the compliments.
