I have a hunch regarding why Ron Paul is popular. It's because there are many uninformed people around my age who are single-issue voters. They either only care about ending the Afghan war (which BTW, Obama said he would do in his 2nd term), or legalizing weed. These people seem to completely ignore his other stances like opposing the civil rights act, taxes, abortions, food regulations, & gay marriage. Without taxes, how exactly are we going to pay for things like road construction anyway?
He's right, even if occasionally for the wrong reason. The so called "golden rule" isn't relevant with regard to countries treatment of countries because some countries are dictators, individuals with slaves, not nations. A nation treating a thug with slaves as if the thug represents his property is silly.
Golden Rule (J.Chr): Dont do anything to others that you dont want them to do to you.
