My wife and her girlfriend used to prowl their suburban neighbourhood in the evenings and my inlaws would give them a curfew. My wife and Sarah got around the curfew by a half hour or so by ensuring that only one was wearing a watch that had been set back the appropriate amount of time. Of course my in-laws knew what they were up to, but the girls felt pretty clever and badass, lol.

Hit all the pools, and parks when they came along...I remember when Carlsbad opened. We had our cards for Skatercross in Reseda.

The other negative was that I was only 9 or 10 at the time, and most of the kids were 13-16 and had more experience with that kind of skating. The 70's were awesome, the hair the music, I was just 5 yrs too young, and when I did come of age new wave was the thing and the whole scene changed.
