@wimpyliberalbuster32 very true and imnot a yankees fan at all im a Bosox and TB Rays fan but i recognize real and Bernie was always a good ball player and a damn good guitarist
When I saw him in concert in November, he said that they wouldn't retire his number until he officially retires. He hasn't been ready to do that, but probably will soon.
BER-nie (a.k.a 'Bernabé'...LOL!) WILLIAMS!!! BERN, baby, BERN! He's pretty nice on that guitar. The great #51, man... Speaking of which, when will they officially retire the man's number? (51). It's really 'bout time. I'm not even sure if the number is active right now. Is someone in the Bombers organization wearing it currently? I'm not sure, man, but I am sure about one thing...I MISS the old Stadium! :-( But I'm getting used to our new digs. I'm definitely going to a game next year in 2011.
Great Player and Great Musician this song and this video are amazing.
Needs to be played at Yankee Stadium every single home game.
Bernie was and still is my hero, inspired me to play the game and wear #51 every year i took the field in HS and in every sport I played since then. Finally got to meet him in 2009 and tell him that.
Totally awesome video, I'm a lifelong Yankee fan , and this is the Stadium I grew up in , walking into it on a summers day you could feel the ghosts of legends past and of the legends being made . And Bernie is definitly a Legend..
I can't even watch this without getting teary eyed. Such sacred ground...lost. The legends that have roamed that same field...and it's gone. Still love the video nonetheless.

I loved a lot of Yankees when I was a kid, but Bernie is one of the few I genuinely loved as an adult. The only Yankee to hit 2 postseason walkoff homers -- including the one that won the Jeffrey Maier Game. A true Renaissance Man. I still wonder what could have happened if Bernie got his guitar, Paul O'Neill got his drums, they taught Tino Martinez to play bass, and got Derek Jeter as the heartthrob frontman. Then again, Jorge Posada has been called the "Ringo" of those Yankees. The ears?
this video makes me want to cry, growing up Bernie Williams was my #1 favorite baseball player and now he is retired because he wasnt garanteed a spot for center field in 2007, it pisses me off so much and now he is 41 and yankees wouldnt resign him, I hope they retire his #.
To the Idiot who helped make this "music video" normally means that they are singing other wise it is simply instrumental. Duh.
