Have to say excellent video on set up and playing positions. Im playing table tennis nearly 30 years at a decent level and have to say this is one of the best videos ive seen for someone taking up the game. Straight to the point and explained in a simple and understandable way. Well done to ping skills for the upload. First class..
@michaelmyers573 Both Alois and myself use a PingSkills Touch blade with Xiom Vega Pro rubber on both sides. You can order this from the PingSkills website.
Thank you Alois and Jeff, you've done the very good job! I am a beginner to this kind of game, thanks to your instructions I've equiped myself a lot of skills to control games
Guyz, how can one maintain composure during games. I felt that even if you're good enough with any drills or strokes if you don't have proper composure, you're nothing. Like myself, i tend to be in the attack mode all the time which often resulted to lack of controls and miss the points. I'm over excited with every shot. Sometimes my hand hesitates to strike even if it's clear to attack especially on the slow ball. Please help. Any advice or training that could improve your composure? Thanks!!!
I find that footwork is (against most people's beliefs) the most difficult part to ping pong and is the key to good playing. (my club-mates are unconvinced).
I have very very far to go myself in terms of footwork. Thanks for the video, I tend to stand too far to the backhand corner (and I have much too much of a tendency to step around the corner in order to forehand loop), though I suspect this could be corrected if I develop a backhand loop.
You're right undying flame, footwork is essential. A good excercise is to have your opponent serve from one corner to another and return only with forehand!
Not if you're chinese, like me. Then, the only name in the language is ping pong (there is no such thing as table tennis in chinese, only "ping pong ball").
Thank You! Excellent Tips.

Great guide.
Overall: 5/5.
I really like the way you teach, so does Jeff.
You even went through the hard points of the 'ready-position' in tabletennis, which I've never seen before.
Thank you Alois and Jeff.
Hope you will make more videos.
