  • Chills! I'm so lucky...we're so lucky to have Wilco in our times :) :)

  • so fucking awesome....

  • Jeff Fucking Tweedy

  • holy fuck.... what kind of guitar is jeff playing?

  • @schleimwurm1

hey - its a gibson barney kessell. they look pretty cool - bet they cost fortune though...

  • @schleimwurm1 that looks like a big barney kessel

  • the spelling error in the word "Walkin'" had me expecting Chris Walken somewhere in this clip! lol

  • believe it or not, that's how the name of the song is spelled on the album

  • this is awesome

  • he kinds looks like the singer for Bachman-Turner Overdrive

  • Great great music. I saw them in Dublin a few weeks ago and I thought this was the best performance of the night. Mind you, the rest of the set was pretty excellent as well

  • holy paul mccartney batman!

  • Where is the original drummer?

  • That is the original drummer, Glen Kotche. He joined the band shortly before the recording of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

  • at 3:07, i have never laughed so hard at the retarded face glenn makes

  • damn man jeff tweedy rights some great songs. nothing crazy lyrically, just good lyrics and amazing music and composition. i think the way he puts words together is so clever and catching though. he is a great writer but in a different way

  • Jeff Tweedy looks a lot like a younger Dr. John.

  • im pissed, they were at lallapolooza this passed summer and they were playing the same time as rage against the machine the second night, i went to see rage against the machine, but i will see wilco b4 i die. come on rage against the machine, first concert back together in the united states i had to do it, even though wilco is one of the greatest bands of my time.

  • I think there should be a wilco musical, kinda like across the universe... plenty of different songs to convey different things about the world!

  • Break it down baby!! thats some feel-good rock!

  • he looks kind of like jim james does now...

    with the beard

  • why does jeff looks like a fat homeless man? its ok ill love him anyways. viva wilco!!

  • haha i think he's goin for the paul mccartney look. the beatles influence is already just seeping through their music...why not apply it to their facial hair?

  • i think he kind of look likes emile hirsch in into the wild ha

  • check out around 3:00 tweedy and the drummer laughing at the horns- haha

  • great song, video could use some work.

  • lol jeff looks like a mountainman or lumberjack or something with that beard!! i mean that in a good way of course. also wow this must be one of the first performances of this song or anything from sky blue sky fro that matter seeing as how old it is.

  • theyre so good musically its rediculous ...like the sick breakdowny things

  • mmmm man i just love that chord sequence in the outro... it just turns around in a "dear prudence" kind of way... pure bliss in harmony! ;)

  • This album and Jamen Brooks Sleepyhead are my top favorite albums.

  • i hear some bowie influence in this.. sort of reminds me of "oh! you pretty things." wilco is awesome

  • i swear, if this is a lie lightning strike me dead, one day i was in a bike trail and i saw Jeff Tweedy walkin' all by himself

  • I always thought this song sounded like it was inspired by Joe Cocker's "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" album, and the horns take it even further in that direction. And for the person who asked, yes, that's a Gibson Barney Kessel, a model that was made in the 60s and early 70s.

  • i like this a lot i have this cd

  • so awesome... where the hell did the horn section come from?

  • Brown University, when they played there some of Brown U's band went along with them on tour. They were at the Sayreville, NJ show when I saw them in 06, right before Lolla.

  • 1960s Gibson Barney Kessel, Ryan Adams plays one sometimes.

  • someone please tell what hollow body that guitar is. It looks like the hollowbody version of an SG. What kind of guitar is that? Seriously if you know what it is message me and let me know.

  • You are probably all Yanks, so:

You know shit and shinola? Well Ween fall into the first group. Wilco the next.

    'Period'

  • you're an idiot.

  • You are an idiot with poor taste in music.

  • Ween is just flat out weird. Like, Monty Python music. You can't really say one is better than the other, but I prefer Wilco. Tweedy sings about things that I can relate to, and the Ween guys just seem like they're trying to be as obtuse and odd as they can be.

That said, "Walken" is one of Wilco's weaker tunes. It's alright, but Sky Blue Sky has much better tunes on it.

  • Agree with you on Ween but couldn't disagree more with your comment on Walken. It's a great tune! The slide guitar work by cline, Jeff's vocals and it's just a raw rock and roll tune that rocks out. Thank god Jeff gave us this tune to contrast the darker ones.

  • that's the most righteous comment i've seen all day thank you.

  • best band besides pearl jam today...

    son volt as well rocks

  • And My Morning Jacket too.

  • He looks like Jim Morrison("L.A. Woman-phase)here.

  • good call

  • I actually think he has a late 60's Mcartney look.

  • This song is soo snoozin

  • fuck you you suck at life and have no taste in music

  • I'm stupid! hergagger fletch!

  • the best band in America today!

  • No way, they're good. But the greatest is Ween!

  • I love Wilco, too...but I agree that Ween is even better...Such great song writers

  • fuck ween, you are definitely correct sir. nothing beats wilco.

  • I love Wilco also. Ween will forever dominate the land of music though. Long live Boognish.

  • If anybody is just now getting into Wilco I urge you to listen to Uncle Tupelo, Jeff Tweedy's first band.

  • Is it really his first?

  • Jay Farrar too.

  • Jeff tweedy & the boys are by far the best thing in music right now!

So that's a totally bitch slap to fall out girls & other fall out wannabees!

The plain matter is you cant measure up to wilco & other great Indie bands sorry!

  • I love this. The new video is even better though - on itunes.

  • He looks like Jack Black with his fuckin' beard.

    He looked better earlier days.

  • your comment sucks

  • you too, indeed.

  • Why is Nels Cline so badass? Because he's friggin' Nels Cline!

  • Amen! He's the reason I play a Jazzmaster.

  • Tweedy/Kline '08!

  • Yes sir. Serious beard on Jeffrey too.

  • where do these sweet videos come from. they look professionally done, i've seen some from the racontuers too, is it from some lolla dvd or something??

  • Jumbovision

  • with horns!

  • why is nels cline so badass?

  • holy shit. i hate to say it, but that beard and that gibson, kinda reminds me of ryan adams. i know thats blasphemy...im sorry!

  • Not really. You do realise that you *are* allowed to like more than one artist from a genre. Me? I love Ryan Adams *and* Jeff Tweedy, right from Whiskeytown/Uncle Tupelo to Ryan Adams/Wilco.

  • that guitar is expensive and fancy, but i would hate to play it.

  • Barney Kessels are awesome guitars. You are crazy.

  • these guys have it figured out---write great songs, have fun in the moment

  • Jeffs beard kicks ass in this video!

  • solid track

  • You said it!

  • holy shit...that's good music!

  • lol...wilco is so goofy
