easiest way to go into safe mode with windows 7 is to shut it off by pressing the button.

if you search from a browser inside a sand box or use an app like shadow defender or even winpatrol (not quite the same thing but still good for keeping your enviroment unchanged) then you can really help protect yourself from drive by attacks, also I recomend useing an app such as "no script" & "ad blocker" & for root kit protection use a 64bit pc, prevention is better than cure & make your protection muti layered.

I've had 2 hi-jackers, (not this one) but Malwarebytes was able to quarantine them, where they still are, and my computer works fine. i did downloaded but i got AVG anti virus, EST Nod 32 anti virus and Remove IT program and i have the full version of all bought (it allowed me to download only after i disabled the anti viruses, the remove IT is not an anti virus but it works like it)

Norton 2009/2010 has a protection called "sonar". Sonar is a behaviour monitor which moinitors the program. When it finds the the program is acting like a e.g spyware, remote access etc...... It will detect it and remove it even when the virusdata base is not installed or out dated
