can i just say i have a siberian husky and they do well in all climates they just need a lot of exersise and a lot of water in hot weather its also good to wet the back of their neck to keep them cool and they are not the same as malamutes! siberian huskies are the smallest and the fastest of the husky breeds.

I live in sunny South Africa. I have 9 huskies on my property (990sqm). Three males; Blade, Maximus-Glorylight, and Helios(Sun). I have 6 Females; Frost, Annabella, Inca, Lisha, Pacha and Coda. Its amazing how they get along with each other. We have a hugh swimming pool and its not a surprise when they swim in the dead of winter and after we ran with them in the afternoons.

Huskies are generally faster and more agile then a malamute. In the sled races they usually stand in front,while the malamutes are the brute strength. Malamutes also grow a little bit slower, they mature at around 2 years of age. The Siberian huskies howl is the loudest of any dog.(other than wolves)

There's no reason why you can't have a Husky even if you live in a hot climate country, just ensure that you provide the Husky with lots of shade and plenty of water regularly.

I love mine! His 4th birthday is on the 1st of September...and he's getting an 8lb. chuck roast.

He's an 81lb. beast, and we run 4-6 miles every night when I get off work.

Alaskan Malamutes have much bigger bones, they are taller, and a have a wider face, they have smallers ears and Alaskan Malamutes don't have Blue eyes..only brown (they are just like extremely big Huskies) lol!!
