DSM's are not a POS. I have a Spyder with 120k miles and it's 100% factory, had a 90 TSi with 160k making 300hp daily on the stock engine, and have a 95 TSi that needed a rebuild because some dumbass Honda guy drove the piss out of it without maintenance until it spun a bearing at 150k. Show me a Honda that can EASILY make 500hp and drive to work everyday, in the snow, with over 100K on the stock engine. That's right, it doesn't exist.

hey man could u explain to me why a car stutters like that? is it the turbo?? i just think it sounds so nice but i read u saying u can set up the stutter? if i have an esi can i do that?

@killercrx91 I don't personally own a dsm (yet) but I have several friends with them, one of which has two, and only one friend has ever had any problems with it. That being said, the models with the 420a motor in them are generally pretty unreliable, but the ones with the 4g62 like the TSI and TSI AWD (GS-T and GSX respectively) are all ore reliable than people give them credit to be...

Sounds like you're running rich. Lean it out a bit and it will sound ALOT smoother and not so violent. I'm guessing you're in the 10:1 or 10.5:1 range. Mine sounded like that until I got the tune sorted. My car looks identical to that except I have a rusted stock looking muffler (totally sleeper).... although I do have an eclipse front end.

what rpm is ur stutter set at by chance? my gsx will have one soon :D

I started with setting it at 4500 rpm, once I got used to using it, I upped it to 5000 rpm.

Yes it will, the 95's and 96 eclipses had the same headlights as the talons. In 97 the eclipses changed their headlights while the talons kept the same headlights from 95 until 98. for more info on these cars register on dsmtalk.

The stutter box is set up to launch the car, holding the rpm at whatever rpm I set it to hold and builds boost at the line.

That is what the video is of, me hiting the stutterbox to make sure its holding 4500 rpm.

I was not using the "No lift to shift" in these races.

yup thats what i thought too, you have stutter box set up! yup.  But you have to use your dsm link to set up the anti lag. your description says testing anti lag..
