aww she is so cute and amazing keep on playing. You know whats funny? we started band in 6th grade and i can tell you she is better than half of them were. LOL
Hi Leah, my name is Riley and i've been playing the flute for eleven years now! I love it, and I hope you stick to it!! If you or your family wants to know more about the types of flutes, visit my friend's blog named Flutes Forever; the link is found at the top channel comment on my channel page.
It is a regular flute with a curved headjoint (used because she is too small to reach the keys otherwise) :) We really need to add new video; Leah has improved so much and is in book 2 Suzuki now!
Bass flutes are about 2 times (or more) bigger than that. That is an elementary flute so that smaller children can play the flute. And bass would sound kinda low and howling XD
@suzukikids you r pretty good in this video.if u keep practicing, u will get better. u should feel pretty good about yourself right now. i only know 2 notes on the flute, and im TEN!!!!!!!!!! your WAY better than me.LOL :)
I am a suzuki flute teacher so was very happy to see a suzuki flute student performance on YouTube! Great performance Leah just don't forget first finger up on D! :)

She has a nice attack in her articulation. Very well done. (That's exactly how I started!).

what kind of flute is that mine don't look anything like that!

it has a curved headjoint, as many children use because their arms/fingers simply arent long enough for a full length flute
