  • what did u use to edit this and make sharks and dolphins?

  • @dancemania1011

    maya and AFX

  • The dude in that big pool of blood with a shark hanging off his leg didnt seem like they saved him to me.

  • Dolphins actually save humans in real life . . . . well, I heard stories about it in our place . . .

  • @josephusHJ ahaha yeah right. They can actually KILL humans ...when they are pissed

  • @deeptech1000 never heard of that before . . . . killer whales maybe, but not dolphins . . .

  • @josephusHJ

Killer whales are dolphins. Members of family delphindae.

Only captive killer whales have ever killed humans... in aquaria.

Wild orcas have never killed humans .

  • @josephusHJ if a 200kg dolphin was to flip and land on you ...

  • and they hunt dolphins in japan and kill them in norway as a proof of manhood fucking queers faggot's tsunami for all you son's of bitches may you die in great suffering burn in hell freaks

  • @GregOrca

no surfer uses fins, how would that work.... oh yea.... it doesnt

  • @ThePoopatrator

    Shows what you know landlubber.

    Never heard of body surfing?

    Never seen a boogie boarder?

  • aww i love dolphins :)

  • who saved he camera man?

  • is this meant to have sound??

  • Very good work - in most of the shots it is hard to tell what is composited in and what isn't. People who CAN'T READ THE DESCRIPTION will have no ability to appreciate the skill required to deliver a job like this to broadcast standards on a shoestring budget and tight turnaround. I would be proud of this on my reel. Well done.

  • This movie actualy seems fake. The animals apear to just be very detailed 3D models put on top of the vidio of the people swimming.

  • @GooberDarkLight

Hence the video title "CGi animation" and the detailed video description "Produced on a shoestring budget, these shots show computer generated dolphins and sharks in the same shots as real dolphins and humans filmed at seaworld GoldCoast.

Almost every shot involving dolphins includes at least one real dolphin and one cgi dolphin."

Its a vfx reel from a low budget documentary!

  • Ive heard lots of stories of dolphins saving humans, either from sharks or just from drowning. Its amazing. Also interesting how you always hear sharks are scared of dolphins, must be because theyre never alone, so the sharks aint gonna mess with that

  • @uys1

It's actually a bit dangerous to believe that there won't be sharks where there are dolphins. The attack in the Red sea featured in our doco was a case of an British tourist jumping into the sea where there were dolphins with calves and they moved away.

The guy was attacked by what seemed to be a mako shark. The dolphins intervened and drove the shark away but the lesson is that sharks and dolphins will often be together.

They follow the same schools of fish etc.

  • @GregOrca Yes! But the dolphins drove the shark off.

  • @GregOrca Schools of fish? Last time I checked dolphins are mammals.

  • @coolcut11

Yes, dolphins are mammals. As I said above Sharks and dolphins will often be together as they follow the same schools of fish.

Dolphins eat fish. Sharks eat fish.

A group of dolphins is called a "pod", not a school.

  • THE DOLPHIN THATS WHY THERE THE SMARTEST ANINAL IN THE WORLD

  • "Porpoises rescue Dick Van Dyke" Nov 12, 2010

We often hear tales of humans going the extra mile to rescue our animal friends, but during a recent surfing trip, legendary actor Dick Van Dyke had the tables turned and received some much needed help from a few wild creatures.

  • it happend, dolphins did saved a surfer and the story was reported in the magazin GEO

  • Dolphins have never and will never save a human from a shark. It just so happens that a human might be in the area when a dolphin begins typical pod protection. In fact dolphins are very aggressive in the wild and unless said pod of dolphins is used to humans feeding them they will even attack humans.

  • @lambchopclmt that is wrong

it happend and was reported in the magazin GEO

  • a little less sharks and a little more pizza would be better

  • what the heck happened to the audio??

  • THE MOVIE CALLED THE COVE RALLIED WORLDWIDE SUPPORT FOR DOLPHINS BEING SLAUGHTERED IN TAIJI, JAPAN. BUT, AFTER A TON OF MONEY AND GRANTS - SCANT LITTLE HAS CHANGED. THERE IS ONE PERSON ON THE GROUND FROM HIS ORG- RIGHT NOW. THAT'S IT. WHERE'S THE MONEY RIC O'BARRY? SHOW ME THE MONEY !!!

  • @slivermoon22

The people in Taiji already know dolphins get slaughtered, but the rest of Japan often isn't aware. Numerous organisations have people in Taiji but effort is best spent in the rest of Japan where people don't know about it.

  • Regardless if this video is fake. Dolphins have been known to save man so remember that when you buy your tuna, look for the dolphin safe symbol.

  • @ThePoopatrator

They are not wearing scuba gear.

They are not even wearing a mask.

They have fins on which people use for body surfing an boogie boarding.

  • nice work on graphics. I not that good.

  • retarded people... dolphins DO save humans from shark attacks. learn something about the sea before commenting stupid stuff like ''0.000001% this is real'' and ''FAKE!''

  • @TheTurkeySlasher lol some people have common sence

  • poor animation if u talk about surfers then at least oput some kind of a surfboard near as they are a mile off coast in stead of some lifeguard david hasselhof floating thingie lol

  • @rhinotje

The info box says they were surf life savers . It was a real event

  • where the hell is the sound

  • kill the dolphins!!

  • BULL SHIT. Dolphins attack more people than sharks.

  • I'm so confused.. How in the heck did those dolphins save those people?. The shark was attacking a human at the end wasn't it?. O.o

  • @sammyhowell

have a read of the info box under the video where it says "show more"

They are two separate events , one was a white shark in New Zealand, the other a mako in the Red Sea

  • those dolphins obviously haven't watched the cove!

  • @todosbien

    Saw that

    Evil Japanese fishermen....made me sick

  • Dolphins usually drive sharks away by sending out high pitched clicks and calld. These calls have an electrial source because they come from the dolphin's melon. The electrical calls are too much for the shark's electrical sensing pits. It ovrwhelms and sometimes hurts the shark, making it afraid and it swims away

  • Ya I believe it look it up dolphins can kill sharks you know they strike them in the gills.

  • They should have added music or something to make it less boring

  • if sharks are attracted to something thrashing at the surface does that mean it would be a good idea just lie on your back and drift along? or is that just a bad idea in a different way? I'm curious

  • @Chesxs if the something thrashing on the surface is you then you should stop thrashing. do not lie on your back, look and see where the shark is. i know it is very scary but you want to swim towards the shark and not away from it - they are not used to 'food' swimming towards them and you could possibly change the shark's mind. if you are unlucky and get bitten, fight back. kick and punch, try to go for the eye if you can. i know, easier said than done but most times this is what saves lives :)

  • Good job, looks real. 10/10

  • Guys u know that a dolphin could kill a shark right?

  • always have a fat guy beside you see the shark probably ate the fat guy and its gonna be full for a complete 24 hour thats enough time to either die and get eaten while dead or get help

  • I love dolphins

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye ur joking right??the japenese kill thousands every year...just search for the documentarie "the cove"

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye noone should be killed for an accident get the dick out your ass and think about what your sayin

  • greit white shark..more like greit white pussy

  • @snide95 .. nice copy a paste :D

  • my 17 year old brother and i were out jumping waves and theres our mom screamming that theres dolphin behind uss we couldnt see them but when we got out they said they were like 2 feet away from uss i thought that was pretty cool

  • Because people love dolphins!

  • Shit like this is real, I seen the show Flipper!

  • i wonder why dolphins love people?..

  • Holy crap, the image in this is so realistic. Job well done and thumbs up!

  • There is in fact no scientific evidence that dolphins save people from shark attacks. The more logical explanation is that the dolphins mistake the people for seals while the shark is about to attack. The shark leaves once the dolphins arrive and the people are coincidentally safe. There is no scientific proof that either people or dolphins have souls so the occurrence is proven false. Now you can all go live your lives until you die and dissipate into nothing.

  • @snide95 loser...

  • @snide95 i doubt that. Dolphins aren't stupid, they can tell the difference between a seal and a human. Not to mention Dolphins don't really prey on Seals.

  • @Darkfire9189 They're curious animals with no soul just like humans. There is no proof that the soul is real. Life is over after death. Your awareness and identity will cease to exist.

  • @snide95 Now where did I ever say humans or dolphins had a soul?

  • @Darkfire9189 Fair enough, I just wanted to emphasize that point.

  • how do you kno that?

  • @Rin199408 It is a scientific fact that the soul has not been proven to exist in either humans or dolphins.

  • @snide95

I'm not into religion, but the statement is misleading. While it can be said that there is no scientific proof of the soul, lack of evidence of existence of something is not proof that it doesn't exist.

  • @curahn My friend, are you joking? I hope to not assume you're one of those people who believes in ufos and the loch ness monster. i suppose you believe it's possible the star trek enterprise will be visiting us from the future or that noah's ark was real? My fellow human, use your common sense.

  • @snide95

Did I say any such thing? Trying to hide the point behind vagaries is the stand point of those with a weak argument. I don't know if the soul exists or not, but my point was NO-ONE knows if the soul exists. There is no proof either way. There are plenty of people who believe in the soul, and there are plenty who believe it doesn't exist. Both absolutes have the potential to be right, and both to be wrong. So I say I don't know. Its the only reasonable standpoint.

  • @curahn Ok let me understand. You're saying that because a bunch deluded half wits believe the soul exists, it then has the potential to be right?? Well you could really say that about anything couldn't you? I guess magical dinosaurs existing is also a kind of possible absolute. I will concede that there is no proof for its non existence. On the other hand, there is also no proof that there isn't an invisible giraffe standing next to me. It's just an absurd idea.

  • Omg awsome I love dolphins

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye not sure if serious...

  • I cant quite understand why do dolphins risk theyre lifes to save humans is it by heart or by instinct?

  • i was just going to say, I didn't know real life had so many angles and camera shots lol

  • there actually are dolphins who have saved people from shark attacks ;)!

  • There is about a .000001 percent chance that is real

  • @KillShot001

"There is about a .000001 percent chance that is real"

Hence the words in the title "CGI ANIMATION".

The incident did happen. Read about "Whangarei bay in NZ"

    nzheraldDOTcoDOTnz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=3613343

  • @KillShot001

theres an 100% chance that ur an idiot

  • @KillShot001 okay i know it sounds unreal but this can happend in real dolphin try to save humens all the time

  • @KillShot001 YEAH YOU WANKER

  • whos actually that stupid to go that far out in the water

  • @22JBLUVER adventure!!!!

  • Awesome.

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye did you seriously write that?

  • @MrB1gSh0t becuase the dolphins ram there noses in to the sharks belly and somtimes kills the shark

  • Did everyone survive?!

  • wow thats amazing, and you should annotate your similar content from this video!

  • this is the one that I was looking for when I red an article from the net about those lifeguards that were saved from shark by a herd of dolphins.

  • Aaaaallll computer animated

  • This is SO fake.

  • @Ktjluvswhales @Sinan454

    Hence the title "CGI ANIMATION"

    Don't be stupid.

  • set up or a reanact how are the camras in the sky wter

  • Humans think they rule..yet they do not at all--they just kill any and everything .Just a matter of time and oppertunity.SP

  • but wtf are u doing in the middle of the sea whitout a boat

  • Honestly, if I was in the water and saw something swimming & circling around me like that, I would automatically think..SHARKS!

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye The drilling's perfectly fine. Are you kidding me? We need domestic oil. Though it's not fine what happened, with all the poor regulations, it is still perfectly fine to drill.

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye again, I laugh at your silliness. I've already stopped attempting to engage in intelligent debate with you. So you're a bit late to stop responding. Bless you.

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye lol you really don't realise how ridiculous you sound do you?

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye lol. You get crazier and crazier. I suggest you do the research so you don't keep sounding silly.

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye People on a purely vegetarian diet (regardless of whether you mean totally vegetarian, or vegan) do not fast). As is evidenced by your continuous spouting of nonsense without going away to do a single piece of research, it is often the meat eater who refuses to listen (though they don't normally get as hysterical or ridiculous or angry as you). And you are a well published researcher? Yeah, and I'm Queen Victoria's potato garden.

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye O.K. I can see how that first sentence was completely relevant and accurate. Spot the sarcasm there. You see people who represent an extremely tiny minority of the world's millions of vegetarians and vegans, and assume that, despite all the evidence, they all must be like that (and assume you now know everything about vegetarians and vegans, even down to every vegetarian and vegan's personality!). And it's not ME who's showing anger + hatred(+ ignorance (inc. of history) here.

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye or maybe people eat A PROPER DIET for a reason. Strange that what you mention hasn't happened to the MAJORITY of vegetarians, yet lots of health problems vegetarians and vegans don't uually get have happened to meat eaters. It's time for people to grow up and accept that they need to do actual research instead of making drastic diet changes then blaming the name of the diet rather than the fact they didn't follow it properly.

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye lol been reading tabloids have you? Cultures that don't get their (excessive amounts of) protein from animal products get them from other sources. Such as beans, pulses, etc. And by your logic (or rather lack thereof), vegetarians and vegans would never ever question anything and would actually start eating meat, because mainstream society claims they should and they wouldn't question it. Meat eating has been linked to desensitized to violence. Most cult members eat meat.

  • @MrB1gSh0t

That was a separate incident in the Red sea with a Mako shark which did bite a dude but he survived after a few female dolphins drove the Mako away and he was rescued and received first aid.

The other Shark is a white shark that never managed to bite the swimmers due to the preemptive intervention of the dophins.

These are effects shots from a 60 min doco so this vid is not meant to tell a story itself.

    Click the "show more" text

  • humans treat doplphines like trash wich is just wrong they SAVE OUR LIVES. ok if u see or hear a man whose hurting dolphines KICK THERE ASS THEN FEED THEM TO TO SHARKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, that's awesome animation!!!!!!

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye it's horrible to think that anyone would kill ANY animal (either directly, or indirectly by eating meat) for any reason other than to end an animal's suffering.

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye yes, BP and all the American companies that were equally involved (or more involved) should have been a lot more careful.

  • 41 Dislikes From The Sharks

  • seelentiere....

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye you're fucked up

  • dolphins are actually Angels

  • 40 sharks watched the vid o.o

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye Japan kill 100000000 of dolphins every year

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye "its horrible to think that anyone would kill a dolphin"

What about the people killed by Dolphin?...Many so called shark attacks were actually dolphin and pilot whale attacks..and they are fatal 100% of the time...Nobody has ever survived a dolphin attack to tell the terrible tale...The Bermuda Triangle is infested with these ferocious and murderous marine mammals...That is one reason the bodies of those who crash in the Triangle vortex are never recovered...Do some research.

  • @timetodepop How would a dolphin attack a human? I'm just being curious.

  • @goldblaze93 "How would a Dolphin attack a human"

Excellent question....Usually a dolphin will attack in unison with the other members of the pod...First they would strike at maximum velocity, nose first...Once crippled and helpless, the human would then be dismembered by vicious attacks...The dolphin would tear limbs and chunks of flesh from the body with their razor sharp teeth...Leaving nothing for the coroner to find...Death is usually classified as a drowning.

  • @timetodepop Wow. O_O I never knew that. But you know what they say: learn something new e very day. :)

  • @timetodepop

Yes. rabbits attack and devour humans in the same manner. The "black beast of Caerbannog" is a prime example.

  • @GregOrca "Rabbits attack and devour humans"

Greg...Rabbits do not attack humans...Dolphin will....Everyday we see people swimming with stingrays and we see them as docile and harmless...Steve Irwin found out differently....I would suggest that you be prepared instead of naive concerning things that your feeble mind will never understand...

  • @timetodepop

Fools ignore the horrifying threat of rabbit savagery at their own peril.

    youtube.com/watch?v=XcxKIJTb3Hg

  • @GregOrca" youtube.com/watch?v=XcxKIJTb3Hg'

Wow...We need to exterminate them....ALL of them....before we humans fall to the bottom of the food chain.

  • They're berry nice :)

  • Remember when this happened, was about an hour north of where i live. Had a GW give a bunch of tourist's on a boat tour at goat island a show a few years back as well. Cheers GregOrca

  • UGH!!!! IT pisses me off when ppl torture innocent creatures especially the dolphins they are so beautiful and intelligent why harm them? people these days are just so phsycotic smh....its a shame that people do try to defend mother nature but the government doesnt do anything except create laws!!! How can words save a dolphin or any other creature we need to provide protection and not "words"

  • what a dumb ass clearly is states its fake

  • @EyeAmbivalenceEye

Unbelievably, soon after the lifesavers were saved by dolphins at Whangarei as featured in this vid, some imbeciles killed and mutilated dolphins in the same area.

    thesun. co. uk/sol/homepage/news/article98554.ece

  • @GregOrca that is so sad!!!

  • Dolphins save surfer? When are the surfers going to step up and help release the dolphins.

  • FAKE CG DIGITAL NO SOUND

  • @IVghead2

Yes, the cgi animation as specified in the title does imply it is fake. That is the whole point.

Do you think anyone in their right mind would film actresses swimming with real great white sharks for a documentary?

  • @IVghead2 well no you dipshit it says cgi in title

  • @IVghead2 It isn't fake !... I saw it on National Geographic. Stop thinking the humans IQ is 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

And all animals have a IQ on 0! (:

  • u know although u just put this together from different things,it does really happen DOLPHINS ROCK!

  • Omg!!! I absolutely love dolphins!!! I always wanted to swim with a dolphin and when I was like 6 years old I wanted to be a dolphin trainer. Dolphins are awesome :) -3

  • Actually, sharks don't like the taste of human flesh (for some reason). So, unless they are really hungry or a tiger shark (who eats just about anything that moves), sharks will stop the attack once they have bitten a human once. Either their curiosity would have been satisfied (just like babies need to put everything they see in their mouths), or they would have been disgusted by the taste.

  • yea ok surfgirl245 but there are quite good dive stories on the net too! try the myscubastory site. type myscubastory into google and its the first one

  • The surfers should have just attacked the shark. Problem solved.

  • imagine how scary that would be in real life diving under the water and seeing a gr8 white in frount of u

  • FYI for the people that think the ocean's safe now, think twice. Dolphins rarely save humans from shark attack. If they were to save humans, there would be tons of articles about Dolphins saving humans. Obviously this shark isn't the Great White Shark. It was a small, harmless shark -- nothing big or serious. So this movie is fake -- as said in the title: ANIMATION. Even dolphins get frightened when the Great White Shark comes to attack, they run away as well. So think twice.

  • @AznGurl747

Hi. This is a demonstration reel of recreated footage used in a BBC documentary called "Saved by Dolphins" about genuine cases of dolphins saving people from Shark attack. The first section details a fully documented case of a pod of dolphins that protected a group of lifesavers from a GREAT WHITE SHARK at Whangarei bay in New Zealand.

Please take the time to actually read the information section of the video where this is fully explained.

  • @GregOrca There is not such place as Whangarei Bay. There is Whangarei Harbour, but you wouldn't get Great Whites around there. I have seen a Mako nearby though. Not saying this isn't true, but I'm not sure the location is correct.

  • @ecconz

    It's "ocean beach" near Whangarei.

     35 50 12.32South 174 34 31.90East

  • @GregOrca Oh ok, surfed there many times.

  • Comment removed

  • @GregOrca Do dolphins attack humans? Do they really protect us from whtie sharks sometimes?

  • @AznGurl747 you should really think about ending your existence after such a comment, do you really think people are going to watch this and assume if they encounter a great white that dolphins will come and save them? stop capitalizing dolphins, great, white and shark, moron

  • @AznGurl747 You obviously don't read. How about the two dolphins who fended the girl off from a GREAT WHITE SHARK? or how about the dolphins who saved a dog from a bull shark in the ocean? Many others.. You obviously don't read considering you lack knowledge.. Dolhpins and sharks have the same strength.

  • @AznGurl747

    Dolphins can't run.

  • @AznGurl747 dolphins can kill sharks

  • @AznGurl747 Lol, way to fail hard and get told.

  • GAHH I LOVE DOLPHINS! -3

  • Dolphin Massacre in Denmark <<<Watch That - The Cove <<<< Watch that to... Then come Back to this page and leave a comment =)...

  • i love dolphins. i want to have a dolphinplasty. i love south park too

  • OMG I LOVE DOLPHINS

  • SHARKS FTW!!

  • DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is kinda boring and doesn't make any sense. Oh and by the way... surfers generally don't where fins lol

  • @scorch048

Have a read of the info. It's a demo reel of effects from a BBC documentary.

It's not meant to make sense as a story but is showing how many shots in a wildlife doco were actually CGi.

He has a few others like that and some breakdowns of how they were done step by step.

  • @HenryLeaf ahh, didn't read/see that bit>< I saw it was a cgi animation tho.. cool as bud :)

  • in reality, the dolphins mite do that for self preservation..to you it mite look like they are looking after the guys in the water.but i bet if the pointer decided that he liked the look of that big ball of bait..the dolphins would bail leaving the "old slow and sick" eg. us

  • someones been watching to many flipper re-runs

  • Hi GregOrca, I'm thinking about diving in The Gulf of California off of Sonora. My friend tells me he enjoyed the the scenery, and he didn't see any predators. This is off the subject, but I would like to ask a question. Have you dived in this area? If so, have you experienced predators in this area?
