Even if this guy's friend was real, the fact that some cancer patients can become cancer-free by themselves isn't a miracle; it's called "cancer regression", and there's a lot of interesting research being done on how to induce it artificially. If his "friend" suddenly woke up with a pair of fully-functional golden angel wings, flew to my house and made me a delicious Philly cheesesteak sandwich from nothing, I'd call that a miracle. But that sammich better have jalapenos, you hear?
I was in a skype call with this fellow for about one minute. And... he seems like a nice kid, but he also seems incredibly ignorant. When I see a video on him I wonder if he's like this off the internet.
Its so sad to see a mind so completely unable and unwilling to learn, and its so pathetic when said mind starts spouting a bunch of absolute gibberish and claims it to be fact. And when said gob spewing braindead knob decides to tell everyone he believe how he does due to wisdom and logic and that people who are using actual logic are wrong because they believe things said mind is incapable of graspin it makes me wanna punch a goat.
Neptune spins on its axis, therefore evolution didn't happen...... Shoot me, someone: fucking shoot me. I want off this fucking planet because there's crazy fucktards all over it who think a planet spinning on its axis refutes biology.
I told numbnuts that some adaptations that are sufficient for the needs of the organism will persist and thus give the illusion of a lack of evolution. Education of any sort must be willing and he will never be willing.
I love TC's assertion that we can observe God indirectly through miracles like we do black holes through it's interactions with other objects.
Last I checked, a Bronze Age miracle consisted of hordes of corpses rising from the dead, or lepers being completely and spontaneously healed. What are contemporary examples given? An animal being born 9 months after natural processes of sexual reproduction and gestation; All-but-one dying in catastrophes.
TruthfulChristian and Wordprophet seem to represent a new breed of Christian idiots. Shawn VFX perhaps does (as one Youtuber pointed out in response to a comment of mine on another video) perhaps have the brainpower to grasp facts, if he were willing to do so, and not blinded by his religious delusions. However, TruthfulChristian and Wordprophet don't even seem to have the basic candlepower in their brains to deal with reality, even if they wanted to!
not evolution related: but i'm confused how gas 'can start spining'. PV=NRT. the dust statement seems feasible because gas is a much higher energy state where a 'systems' particles must have already coagulated out in. in energy: solid<liquid<gas<plasma. either gravity pulled the particles to begin spining in the system long before there was a heated center, or it was hotter. and the large globs which came out (eventually) gas must have been either plasma (gluons) or solid... how could it be gas?
@morthim -note this is not my field of study, i'm just confused how the claim that a extra terrestrial system (gallaxy, solar, w/e) could start in the middle of the energy spectrum.... actualyl i think i answered my own question there, nvm ty
So many stupid statements, so little time to debunk them.
There's no law of angular momentum. There's a law of conservation of angular momentum (which he appears to be referring to). Completely fucking clueless. Or a megapoe.
Oh wow. It's just. Loud and proud... Of being... loud?
I will prove X using this cupcake, a piece of dental floss, and words I don't understand!
You know, I read recently that the model of the Universe that we have now can't explain how gas giants formed so far out from the sun. The model predicts that they would have formed closer to the sun. However, science will catch up and explain it eventually(hopefully in my lifetime, I wanna know!) I miss the bit where fake explanation > unknown...
@happysplodie If the gas giants were closer the sun, they would evaporate. That's why Earth can hold on to hydrogen gas for very long. I think what you are thinking of is the mystery of the ice giants, Uranus and Neptune. While their high ice content is expected, other aspects of their make up suggests that they began their formation between Jupiter and Saturn before being pushed by the large planets into their current orbits.
@JRChadwick I'm not sure exactly. It's one of those 'flipping on TV, find science channel' quotes. About the formation of the outer planets. It may have been the ice giants. But I remember Jupiter being where it's supposed to be, and Uranus and Neptune being out of place. It is where I learned that Uranus may spin funny cause of an impact event... In any case good stuff.
This god bloke is spiritual and beyond the universe? Yet we are made in his image (His? thus must have a dick). Also this spiritual entity craves the smell of burnt offerings (must have a nose). TC has the mind of a 5 year old .... and i wish he'd give it back to the poor kid.
I'm speechless... is he incapable of understanding just how little he knows about any of the things he's talking about, or does he just not care? There aren't enough facepalms...
Don't bother with TC. In one of his videos he just directly quoted stuff from a creatonist website (and not just for the "evidence" against evolution but also for his arguments for god). You can almost hear it from his voice that he's just reading from a paper or a website. i wouldn't be surprised if all of his videos etc. followed the same pattern.
If he can't present an argument using his own words and thoughts, well... what can I say to that...
I think he was trying to talk about UrAnus which spins perpendicular to the solar plane, and also Jupiter has most of the solar system's angular momentum.
awww! I was kinda hoping for another "peanut butter pot" reworded to be pudding just so they could hope we couldn't tell it was all the same argument (such as "Creation Science" or "Intelligent Design" or even "irreductible complexity")
I mean, it COULD happen, right? It's not like they haven't done it before!
@Xgya2000 That ass scooter seemed to pick peanut butter at random. He just needed some sort of jarred food product. I suppose he could have picked a pudding cup. It's fun thinking of Bill Cosby making the same argument. I want to here a good Cosby impersonator make a parody video of Cosby arguing that Pudding disproves evolution.
@redlion7277 Good question. There is a margin given. That's why we aren't usually given an age with more than two significant figures. When do we start the clock? When the mass of material became spherical? When the crust began to solidify? When it cleared it's orbit? I'm not qualified to give the answer, but the difference between those times is less than 100,000,000 years.
GAH THis guy is such an idiot. He really bullshits his way through anything and has no idea what he's talking about. Probobly one of the most dishonest willingly ignorant creationists I've seen. *continues to hea/desk*
Also... "anti-clockwise"? Is that a real word?
Omnywrench 1 year ago
@Omnywrench Haha - yeah, man. Anticlockwise is pretty standard in the UK and in Aus/NZ. You almost never hear 'counter-clockwise' here.
