Okay, so I understand why'd they cover one song... maybe two at the most, I mean, they were involved in writing them and stuff. But, I feel that they believe that they'll get more attention by covering Evanescence songs... the band's using Evanescence's fame to get attention. What ever happened to getting attention by writing good songs? They can't just cover a couple of Evanescence songs and expect to get back in the spotlight instantly. They have to climb their way back up.

Also, for people to better understand Carly, you must also take into consideration that her and Amy don't have the same vocal range, so of course they aren't going to sound the same. The reason people say these EV covers are best suited for Amy is because she wrote them for HER voice, so they're not going to sound the same.

I love this band absolutely and whole heartedly but there is honestly no way carly smithson can ever truly compare to the raw pure beauty in the voice of amy lee, previous lead singer and founder of evanescence. Carly has a wonderful voice as well and can hit most of the same notes as amy, as can anyone with proper vocal training and enough practice, and according to ben moody she may bring more energy to the music, but amy had that original perfection that made evanescence.
