Ah, you just saved me a search (for the BWV numbers of all the trio sonatas).
"...In my opinion the best recordings ever..."
I suspect this will turn out to be my opinion as well.
I'm comparatively unfamiliar with the trio sonatas, but I'm already quite prepared to assume that there are few recordings, if any, that trump this one.
@The30YearOldVirgin I can say that I found another dimension in Musics world when i Listened to my first brandenburg Concerto when i was 14 years old. I have been 100 % in it ever since. And J.S B. has made amost all other Music sound iehter Boring, or unperfect. He has made my life better.
@IDidntComeUpWithName As I recall, I was also about 14 when I heard my first Brandenburg Concerto (it was #4). Until then I had never heard anything so beautiful. I was in tears. That experience was the beginning of many years of happy discovery and rediscovery of the wonderful music of J.S. Bach. He remains my most cherished composer.
Thanks for posting. Just curious do you get the artists' permission for use their recordings?... at least this gets the stuff out there. Please put's artists' name in the info at top. After all your wonderful work choosing the photos and producing this video, that kind of omission would be like performing Bach and forgetting to use your right hand! Also are these your photos? If not, I think the photographers deserve to be noted in the info section as well.
I agree!!! I would like to add that a lot of organists over use mixture stops when playing Bach (which is not authenitic for the baroque period) I enjoyed this registration and the added trills !
Thank you for the information. I'm listening to this piece in many versions for my study and this is the version that I like the most so far...totally convincing articulations.
@omrifotnac Herr Bach wrote these trio sonatas as a teaching aid for his son I am told. This rendition is the prettiest recording of the BWV 526 1st movement I have ever heard.
Bach non è per tutti. Il tuo commento rasenta il ridicolo. Ma la colpa non è tua, bensì della non conoscenza che produce una banale affermazione. Buona ignoranza.
Excellent! Very well-balanced and quite enjoyable!!!!!!

@IDidntComeUpWithName : One can find elements of JSB in the music of Chopin!

I am very grateful that the manuals in this piece are not exceedingly difficult.
