  • ....i gotta read this book

  • One of my favorite paintings. It also gives me the idea to paint in a "wide screen" format, allowing me to capture more action and story.

  • why is this not the guy they use for the book covers? the artist they use for those just doesn't stand up to this guy at all

  • its fascinating the witness the change in the narrator's (Michael Kramer) voice as he faithfully narrates the whole series. I am of the opinion that his voice was better when he was younger although even now he's my favorite narrator.

  • "They've caged Shadow Killer."

  • Is this the only one they filmed? It would be awesome to get one for each book.

  • WOW! Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!!!!!! :SSSS mute ftw

  • They better not fuck up the movie, if they make one, we've seen Eragon.

  • is Rand and mat in this picture at all?

  • @HatedSovietLion I don't think Mat was even in this battle (correct me if I'm wrong), but no, it doesn't show the circle of wagons where Rand Min and Taim were. It would have been awesome if he would've painted Rand breaking free of that chest.

  • @HatedSovietLion Mat wasn't in the battle, and Rand would be behind the Asha'man, so he's not within sight.

  • ASHA'MAN KILL!

  • there is just one mistake in this picture:Asha'man lack of swords. However this picture is ,by the Light, something absolutely awesome!

  • I really want an Ashaman coat! :)

  • are there any more paintings for the series by the same artist?

  • Супер

  • I love this painting! Imma share it on Facebook :)

  • hmm i just fell in love

  • brilliant

  • awesome!!!!

  • I would give a nut to be that talented.

  • Im sorry, but if I was one of those Shaido I would of said Fml and ran like hell knowing we had just gotten fucked. Though, that is not they way of any Aiel, still...They got screwed at Dumai's Wells. And this painting brings it more to life than what my mind did. When I read it it was all just a conglomeration if troops within a low bowl like valley getting killed and such, but this...This is just...Epic.

  • La batalla en los pozos es dura y cruel... Alcanza a la imaginación y va más allá

  • awesome artz

    *Wave* 5:15

  • THUMBS UP TO NO DISLIKES!!

  • I can't help but hope that the broken tower bowing to the ancient symbol is a symbol in itself. That the Aes Sedai can go from being a tower of manipulators to a united union of saidin and saidar for the purpose of being servants of all.

  • @judahstarguy2 I agree, and hope so too. "Servants of All", my ass. Far from every Aes Sedai in recent times do anything for the sake of others, instead serving their own schemes and ambitions.

  • I really wish I could buy a poster that big to put on my wall

  • Fantastic job !

    Wow !

  • the narrirator sounds like mr. smith from the matrix

  • Fantastic! This totally reflects my image of Dumai's Wells. (And I want that painting on my wall!)

  • I NEED A 1:1 SIZE COPY OF THAT ON MY WALL!!!

  • @mortenlu ABSOLUTELY!!! I want one too :O

  • Compared to this, my art is crap.

  • oh my god... this was glorious... it gave me chills! What is that music! It's PERFECT! This is exactly--EXACTLY--as I'd imagined the battle at dumai's wells!!!

  • This is really awesome! Recreated the real "chaotic" feel of the scene! Terrific! Aiel, Ashamans... just totally awesome!!!!

  • Hey guys just winder that what medium he used? acrylic? Damn, it's just amazing

  • This is Beauitful. Wheel of time is Beautiful. May you shelter in the palm of the creator's hand RJ

  • I get a shiver down my spine when it gets to the last part where he says "the world was changed forever" every time.

  • Possibly my favourite scene so far from the book up until now, would really love to get a print of such a picture, cant seem to find them for sale anywhere unfortunatley. Amazing all the same though, it was a great read and seeing the painting adds alot to it

  • @unitylovefamily They cant differentiate between male and female, well not easily anyway is what is stated in the book, I just finished lord of chaos and it doesnt mention them being unable to differentiate two legs nor do any of the books before, so unless you read it in a book after lord of chaos im guessing they can

  • amazing

  • Wheel of time anime illistrated by Bob Ross

  • epic win

  • That is an awesome painting.

  • Bob Ross! lol. Dude that is a freakin sweet, sod off the actors get this guy to paint the movie!

  • WOW ! Fantastic !

  • That's an amazing pic, wish I could buy one like it

  • Ah, the memories :-) truly epic!

  • Wow! An awesome epic portrayal of perhaps the best chapter in the entire series. The Wheel of time absolutely dwarfs all other fantasy. Amazing!

  • Great video. Always dizzying to watch Manchess paint.

  • A true master! I'm glad I got a chance to see him work back in 1992 at Portfolio Center. Amazing career!

  • AWESOME!!

  • it would be very nice to have something like this on your wall =) really awesome!!!

  • This painting is beautiful, especially to anyone who read Dumai's Wells

  • Bad Ass.

  • man this is friggin beautiful *cries*

  • The Wheel of Time is one of the best books out their, and it is my personal favorite, and also, in my opinion, is the very definition of good and evil in fantasy fiction

  • This guy is like the Bob Ross of fantasy battle illustration. "So I'm gonna take my two-inch brush, and just put a happy little dire wolf right here. He's probably thinkin' about, oh, I dunno, rending the flesh from the bones of his enemies. That'd be reaaaaaaaaaal nice. You can make that wolf as dire as you like - it's your painting."

  • little bit o' titanium white, not too much, just a little, put it riiight there, hello happy dire wolf.

bob ross wishes he was this fucking cool.

  • @jwriney Haha, that is the BEST comment I have seen.....

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, I didn't think it was that big!

I'd buy and frame that thing in a heartbeat.

  • great video, and I loved the narration. Took me back to the first time I read this scene.

    Awesome Job Greg!

  • Oh man. Greg Manchess is made of win. At least he uses a line drawing - if he'd just torn in and made the painting on the fly, I don't know what I'd do with myself, lol.
