  • Great track - Common rips it for real! "I could tell in high school, that he never had no fights, hold d*ck better than he hold mics"

  • Pete Rocks!

  • NYC + Chi-Town = Dopeness!

  • Big Pun smashes it!!!!!! Tough.

  • Common really brought it

  • What's the beat right at the very end? When Pete rock is just talking

  • pun recorded this eating a bag of chips

  • N.O.R.E is just wack...

  • To hear Com Dom and Big Pun on the same track...that's history. Fuck those who thinks different. The fellas are two of the most dangerous MC's to grace the mic.

  • Man it used to blow my mind how Pun, Canibus and those guys used to let NORE hang with them back then. That nigga was so wack compared to them back in around this time LOL.

  • @Antrizzle2009 Lol dead ass, I wonder the same thing

  • Common

  • the song with MC Eiht and Pete Rock is the best on this album

  • One of the most underated albums of all times, and hard to get vinyl, but i now

have quadruples. Also I thought N.O.R.E was more lyrical than usual and a

nice contrast to the wordsmiths. Pete "know what he doin and always on point

    with the beats and rhymes".

  • fuckin beast beat

  • 3 people don't understand the concept of verbal murder.

  • Wow the beat i wanna freestyle to this

  • Pete is a fuckin genius on these beats.

Also Rip Pun,you were and you're an inspiration for all the lil underground kids that love hip hop. You'll never be forgotten, trust me my man and rest in peace.

  • Pete Rock: “I remember Pun being in the booth, and he did everything in one take, and asked to do it again. When he did the first take, he was eating a bag of Onion and Garlic Wise potato chips at the same time. I’ll never forget this. He was sitting in the chair. He was eating the bag of chips, started doing the verse, stopped, and then started eating the chips again. He did the verse in one take, and I was satisfied with the one verse. He was a straight professional'' talkin bout this track

  • took that sample from a fat albert cartoon pete rock dope !!!!!

  • THIS ALBUM IS FAT!

  • dam I hate N.O.R.E lyrics, great sound but no lyrical talent

  • big pun der wahre!

  • n.o.r.e has one of the best rap voices ever ... just wish we was better lol

  • this track is one of the best songs that ive ever heard in my life. a true hip hop persons dream. does anyone realize that this beat contains a sample from fat albert the cartoon by bill cosby from back in the day its bananas its the first thing that i noticed about this song when i first heard it.

  • Common was such a lyrical monster back then. It's sick.

  • verbal murder like dis

  • Comment removed

  • how can you dislike this track???dope mcs, sick producer...those 3 who disliked video must be fans of lil gayne or something like that shit...this is real hip-hop!

  • wow did my eyes deceive me? there is like 3 dislikes for this song, what! ppl have no taste.

  • Noreaga kills it in a bad way

  • 3 people thought the dislike button read DIS I LIKE

  • Pete Rock is one of the best producers of all time

  • saying G RAP flow is simple is the dumbest shit i ever heard.

  • this album is like a wu-affilate album i love it

  • COM really ripped this shit... N.O.R.E was garbage

with the knowledge is a little thug blood in me

  • Pete loves the wahwaahh effect on the samples. Yeah man some dirty shit

  • Daaaaamn!!! Pete beat me to using that Fat Albert sample. I bow down.

  • Hold up...did you notice my heroic entrance?

  • EARGASMUS

  • puns style?

you mean the multi syllablistic flow?

Kool G Rap is the inventor my man

    do your homework!

  • @FunkFresh3000 Not only multi syllable, but so what if g rap is the inventor, Pun is the originator of the whole complexity and shit. G Rap was multi syllable flow thing but all simple PUN COMPLEX and unique like no other, but yeah much love to g rap all time legend top 5

  • young128 you go throw on G Rap and Polo - Bad To The Bone

and tell me that ish aint complex

your absolutely bullshittin' tryin to say G Rap is simple and pun is complex

im not even sayin pun isnt complex but G Rap will eat any emcee tryin to front hardcore alive

  • @FunkFresh3000 Dont matter who invented what....its whos the best at it...did Michael Jordan invent basketball?...O.k. then.

  • Pun style is untouchable!

  • honestly pac was one of the best cuz he was more a poet. and pac had tons of material. wether u thought it was mad lyrical or not. pac had tons of material. im not a fan of pac but the truth is the truth. Eminem and Pun 4 life tho. everyone please keep real hip hop goin.

  • I still like Biggie and Pac, but c'mon, Big Pun is better.

  • it jus depends what you as a person look for in an mc. if its crazy flow vocabulary and wordplay then pun is that nigga. biggie and pac are hard to explain because for one biggie wasnt even half as vocabulary gifted as pun was so thats why people say pun was better because other than that i think bigs punchlines and worplay and flow were jus as good as any1s if not better because every song was different so its like mastering it the first time he tries it. but either way these men are rap gods

  • @cKooLaiD311 Yeah, but u said it urself. PUN IS THE GOD of wordplay, vocab and flow, and Pac aint even skilled so i dont know why he comes up in the conversation. But anyway check out my new video of Pun "Big Pun - Best Punchlines"

  • @young128 this is true but vocab wordplay and flow are jus one part of the scale big pun has definitely mastered those 3 for sure though....its like theres so many different things that can make a great MC...i know dudes in real life that spit way bigger words than pac and all that good stuff but i would never consider them better than pac because jus like big pun and biggie, pac had his own uniqueness..it jus wasnt in the same feild as a biggie or big pun

  • @cKooLaiD311 yeah. but in mc i look for skills because thats what takes the most work and talent in general. to put together words crazily and flow and shit but pac is legend too ofc.

  • exactly but like i said that might not be what others look at. people tell me all the time pacs lyrics are the best. i would think its the point he gets across. lyrics and all that stuff is in pun and biggies category. pac doesnt focuse on the dopest way to say something he jus says it straight up. so yea thats why you cant really put facts on hip hop in ANYWAY as far as whos the best theres no legit way to, even with tupac and biggie being "the best" its always jus there opinion

  • @cKooLaiD311. yea pac had like so much material. people r amazed by lil wayne but pac was on crazy grind way before anyone was juss bustin out trks like a mad man. thas why he gets props. and he was real poetic. lol almost like a more gangsta common pretty much

  • @cKooLaiD311 Yeah, they'd kill any of the whack rappers that are out in the game. Ever since 1999 rap has sucked because of a certain rapper's debut album produced by a west coast hypocrite.

  • @Ben780Reilly i agree...Which rapper were you refering to??

  • @cKooLaiD311 feminem

  • @Ben780Reilly oh yea.

  • HAHA This was like nores least verbal murder song hes ever made....IRONY!!!!

  • Damn Pun is nice!!!!!!!!!!

  • Big pun SMASH!!

  • dammit this is so HARD! this is such a short sample that he flipped, this is ridiculous! there's a video showing how he made it on YT

  • where the fuck do i find this amazing beat to this amazing track littered with amazing artists

  • @rigomonsoon

    ---> internet :P

  • imma have ta cop this Cd now Off G p. Im curious

  • C'mon be Big Pun is the illest ever it's not even fair to lyrical Big Pun 4ever

  • After hearing Pun rap that verse, Big Pun is the fucking best rapper to ever live.

  • i love how pete dropped the bassline for a bit starting at :28

  • I was calling it "Hip-Pop" too, Aqua. I call it Shit-Pop now. It's a flat our insult to real hip-hop like this.

I can never stop listening to this. I looped together the small instrumental sample at the end of this, from the CD, into a 3 minute loop. Anytime I drive around pumping it, I see youngsters bopping their heads to it and some people laughing and yelling "Fat Albert"! LOL!!! I can see Dumb Donald and Weird Harold now.

  • the loop comes from the fat albert cartoon. lol, i just pieced that together.

  • verbal murrrrrdaaa

  • common got off on this

  • Classic Hip Hop!!!!

  • big pun killed every1 on this

  • The Fat Albert sample is CRAZY

  • Rush your crib like Jehovah's Witness.

  • AGRESSIVE NIGGAZZ

  • I forgot how ill this album was. It got slept on hard. After I heard Tru Master, I had to peep it. I must have sold a few copies cause all my peoples bought it after I was bumpin it. They all killed this track.

  • Rarely does Big Pun hav the second best verse on a song. But Common MURDED THIS TRACK. I love listening to this song.

  • Nah Pun had by far the best verse on this track. "I sack a rapper like a line-backer play my rhymes backwards u can hear the devil speak his mind with fine graphics things get drastic express for my plastic i pack clips between my nuts and my fat dick" .. NUFF SAID!

  • Pun's delivery was off on this one. Not his best verse. Common had dope rhyme schemes and the best charisma.

  • Pun is the best dude

  • ur crazy

  • stop hating on N.O.R.E hes nice on tha mic

  • "make you feel it like the colour purple"

    What? HAhahaha

  • God this brings me so much nostalgia, they just don't make em like tihs anymore.

  • I sack the rapper like linebacker, play my rhyme backwards

you can hear the Devil speak his mind with fine graphics

Jesus fucking christ how the fuck did he come up with that

  • no doubt! thats other level shit.

  • verbal murder 3 . conscious music for 2010. underground soul rebel. onelove

  • the original version of "verbal murder" featured meccalicious. this one takes it to the next level, no doubt.

  • damn i miss hip hop how it used to b.

    RIP Big Pun

  • I feel man. Now our Hip-Hop is Hip-Pop, stale music taste like carboard. I feel bad for these kids look at what they are feeding them. I think they are being robed. RIP Hip-Hop, Gansta Rap and Pun.

  • I fucking love puns flow

  • Yeah, who doesnt?

  • @emceeshah yo Pun's got one of the illest flows no doubt, i can't imagine how much more sick it woulda been if he lost all that weight. such a tragedy in Hip-Hop and unfortunatley, not many people care R.I.P. Pun

  • i likes nore's music during this era. ex. war report. But can i say hes a "good rapper" lets be real, the war report may be hardcore classic but hes wack on the mic. Someone like kool g rap shudv been on this beat instead of him

  • I agree NORE is way out of his league with these lyrical heavyweights

  • Just enjoy this song like if u were chilling on the beach smoking a blunt sipping on a ice cold Corona and a sexy cute Mami with hips in a bikini by youre side. Just be cool, no need for that.

  • not really

  • his flows good though

  • pun posessed a better flow than pac,and common is one of the kings of punchlines, also checkout petes album.the main ingredient, pete & dj premiere the 2 best producer/djs of alltime. if u like this 1,checkout any type of way ft big daddy kane, invocation by common, properties of steel by godfather don,5 star shit!!

  • pac's flow is easily beaten.

i don't much care for him. don't get me wrong - he's a good rapper, but definitely not in my top 10.

  • this track was crazy...pun and common killed it..heavy!!! NORE didnt come thru!!!

  • I remember wonderin why nobody would use that Fat Albert track. When this came out, my bro and I was drivin on the West Side Highway. Damn near crashed!! You can play all PR joints, instrumentals, and lounge wit a L for hours.

  • yeah i agree with you..PR joints just have that feeling

  • I GOT IT!!!! This sample is from Fat Albert and the Cosby kids. This sample was played when the Cosby kids were introuble or worry creaps in. Pete Rock is a master. Why does NORE suck?

  • Pun u beast :/

  • @officialjonnyyoung comm dead'd theactually dn't sleep

  • @ideemtik common was a beast aswell..

  • @officialjonnyyoung yeah young buk thaat's whaat i meant but i ain't really impressed til isee one that can agress without making more of less you know bless the trakk from front to bakk i got you stem from roots true death match for all thoe who attach attacks in fact might as well join i hit harder than boing more of a jam that blam blams all you foul mouth spittas scram DRAM atik NOBle

  • i been waiting for this moment like phil collins

  • man Pete Rock never dissapoints... i could listen to this shit all dayy

  • Pun took a bite out of the beat.....a huge bite lol.....this reminds me off verbal intercourse wit nas Rae and ghost....nas came on first and bodied the track and didn't leave much for Rae and ghost...pun did the same thing..I thought nore came decent

  • pun ript the track to shreds..nore confirms how booty he really is & what not to sound like. completely outshined & sucks i had to hear his verse to get to common's. he cant front cause after his last album he's shoppin in stern's too. pete rock lost his mind when he made this beat. undisputed classic (even with nore on it)

  • who made the beat they play at the end of this song, its amazing.if anyone plz tell me!!!! thanks

  • i'm going to go out a long thin limb here and guess.. pete rock. final answer

  • alright no need for sarcasm!!!!

  • NOREAGA did his thing! Stop Hating, they all killed it man.

  • pun g.o.a.t no doubt after that verse

  • Big Pun & NORE did they thing, but Common made me say "damn". Never heard him go hard like that.

  • deck absolutely destroys NORE lyrically, their voices are kinda similar though

  • Just Plain Sickening

  • Common, Pun, and N.O.R.E? I duno if N.O.R.E can hang

  • maybe not lyrically, but hes the hype man WHAT WHAT

  • R.I.P. Pun

    dis joint so TYTE

    100/*5*

  • Pun had by far the best verse

  • "its such a shame, all these dick riders trying to kurupt the game" -Big Pun R.I.P

  • doppeeee

  • All music should have drums like this. Peace.

  • then why u listenin to pete rock ?

  • nore actually sounds like more inspectah deck than i ever thought

  • r u fucking stupid, how does he sound anything like deck?

  • calm down sonny, he just sounds similar imho

  • that is like me saying puffy sounds similar to krs1 ..thair is no similarity ...nore and deck's flows and voices are wayyyy different ..those 2 are original, stright.

  • did any1 hear kay m. of 106 & park? He staight ripped it the last round. and his last line he bigged up pun in this song

  • nore not the most lyrical but he still got that grimey style i can always rock with!

  • Pete freaked the hell out of that Fat Albert sample......Also Common bodied this track

  • pete rock jams always have great endings, the sounds are worthy of their own song

  • check my style kid

  • PUN TOP 5 MCZ EVER

  • Agreed. Him and Kool G have similar flows...

  • u could hear da devil speak his mind wit fine graffics

  • Common kills it with those metaphors and punchlines but still hold up did u notice my heroic entrance? R.I.P Big Pun he cud never be merked

  • I fly high! thumbs up!

    Greetz from Germany

  • Common murder this track

  • classic cut but out of all 3 who u think killed it the most me in my opinion common and it's funny nore and trag going out on each other lol and does any 1 know the sample 2 this and i luv when common said i was in a gun orgy cause he was fucking with me damn and when he said he spiked his punch lines whoa im out 1
