I think you can get a lot more healing with tornado if you make sure magic is maxed out, and don't let spirit up too high. Since Omega Weapon's only magic-damage attacks (meteor and ultima) are weak, it's safe to have low spirit. Not sure, but you might not need any at all.
As for magic, you maybe ought to junction triple to it if it's not maxed out. You can get speed up with haste. It's not as good, but still faster than Omega by a significant amount.
OMFG!!! 0_0 I used this strategy pretty much NEARLY EXACTLY how you assembled it and I Junctioned 100 Aero to my Characters Squall, Quistis and Selphie for added insurance of good HP restoration and with the zombie + Auto-protect strategy it took a while as Omega Weapon is well-known to take to defeat but after a while I FINALLY DEFEATED OMEGA WEAPON using my fav characters Selphie, Quistis and Squall, thank you SO MUCH for putting this strategy up!! :D
Except I didn't use Beserk but of course I used Renzokuken to get Omega Weapon slain which is different from the Beserk part of this strategy but the original Zombie + Auto-Protect Strategy worked absolutely AMAZINGLY against his Fearsome Terra Break move just like in this video that shows this strategy here, I am truly grateful for this, THANK YOU! Worked like a frickin' charm!! ^_^
I noticed they had low vitality and magic. Perhaps with maxed vitality, they could take even less from terra break, and with maxed magic, tornado might heal them to full in 3 casts. Also I think you ought to show their junctions, just so curious folk might see them.
false. cast fire normal status, damage recieved 196, cast fire under zombie status, dammage recieved 191, cast again under zombie status, 191 again. zombie does not affect fire resistance.

Tips for Omega (If you find Holy Wars/Heroes gay)
- Meltdown is your NEW best friend! It can be obtained by modding Gayla cards.
- DUEL. Duel got me an easy 100k per for a 5 second one. Zell's trick to duel is to simply only use 2 moves; Booya and Punch Rush. Booya is Right-Left and Punch Rush is O+X (I think). A moderately junctioned Zell will do about 5-6k per hit.

remember, when fighting high level monster (except very tough boss fight like omega), defending is more important than attacking. and also try to stock up some high level magic to junction over your stats.
you could defeat omega with the strategy above but it is too time consuming. there is some other strategies that can defeat omega in short period of time and survive under the terra break, without invincibility and without cheating.
You need to find a Rosetta Stone. There are three of them throughout the entire game. One of them can be given to you from Jonny's shop in Esthar when you control Zell while the Lunatic Pandora is passing over the city. Just to to the shopping district, select Jonny's shop and you'll be given a Rosetta Stone. This allows one of the GF's to learn Abilityx4.
You can get one from the constantly closed shop at Esthar. Keep trying to enter, eventually it'll do the gift thing and give a Rosetta stone. The only one I actually got :s
Never saw Terra Break, and I beat Omega twice. Cheaply, of course. Lionheart + Armageddon fist.
When you get GF Bahamut, he knows the Abilityx4 ability. Another Rosetta Stone is in Ultimecia's Castle. If you have a Shaman Stone, you can use Tool-RF to get a Rosetta Stone, but you should just need three.
For what it counts you can also get them from the guy playing cards who charges 200 gil for a card game in disc 2 in Galabadia prison. You can also get one from the Pupu card (not hard to acquire). Another can be got alot later in ultemecias castle after doing the organ thing.
@Abonisher I know it's a bit late, but here goes: Ruby dragons combine a powerful physical attack with the breath magic attack. You just need high spirit and vitality for them, something you may not need almost anywhere else. Make sure everyone has a spirit and vitality junction, and put shell(spirit) and protect(vitality) on them. Or if you have em, meltdown(vitality) and reflect(spirit) work even better. That should make ruby dragons pathetically easy.

You need to use a Steal-Curtain on another GF in order to get him/her to learn Auto-Protect. Please see an FAQ for more info regarding Steal-Curtain Items. :)
The zombies have resistance vs physical attacks because they are already dead and And they have no blood or organs alive not dying of bleeding,you can cut off their legs and they can continue to move dragging on the floor, only dying if they have their heads cut off or if they are burned
Many FF8 players haven't realized it yet, but Zell's limit break is actually the most powerful attack in the game. With full strength and quick fingers you can easily do over 150000 damage depending on how many seconds u get from the limit break. 10 seconds should be enough to do over 150000 damage if you just keep on doing Booya and Punch Rush all the time. FF8 and Tales Of Destiny 2 are the RPGs ever :)
Actually, this one guy, if you were to look up an Omega video, can actually do over 750k damage by doing Booya and Punch Rush over and over again, in a 12 second time frame.
i have a question: using the poison magic in the zombified characters can regenerate they like the magic regen? if it can, it can help to recover hp more quickly with the junction with tornado, i think it because i played final fantasy vi and the zombie tipe monsters have affinity with the poison elemental

Yes, Zombie halves the damage from all physical attacks.
I've been meaning to do a full-version of this strategy too.. although it's actually a lot harder then how it comes across.

Terra Break isn't an elemental attack.
I don't think that Zombie raises Vitality... it's more like anything with Undead status has physical attacks on them halved.
Terra break deals the same amount of damage regardless of how much one's VIT-stat is.
Hope this helps clear up the Confusion, or else I'd have to smack you (either that or use Remedy ;)

I used:
* Adobe Photoshop (for text boxes and title page)
* Pinnacle DV500 Video capture card
* Adobe Premiere (for editing and merging the title page + text boxes in with the footage)
Took around three hours all up, including setting up my PS2, capturing the footage, editing, etc.
