yea now i can definitly hear it ....lol but thank u much help sounds like a good product very helpfull looking forward to getting it. cant wait to feel the diffence
To be honest I don't know the numbers exactly, nor do I know how to find out without going out of my way, which is why I never bothered. When it's stock it spools pretty quietly (as you already know), but now I can hear it and you definitely feel it =)
yes it does increase the boost since boost is electronically limited by factory. That's only one part of the performance increase. The fuel mapping allows for the motor to run on lower octane ratings, with the flash it's designed to take full advantage of the highest octane rating, and you must use that type of fuel from that point on (i.e. 93 (R+M)/2 in the US)
hey nice c30. i myself have one and i had a question wat rpm do u usually drop it out cause wen i drop it at around 3500 or 4 it just spins all through first and in to second. o and another thing hows that ppc from bsr work can u make upgrades like say u put a down pipe can the ppc upgrade the comp to that or is that just mainly for the stock c30s?
Well those weren't my tires screeching in the video, I did a soft launch on that run because the track is a little sticky. When I dumped the clutch too low I got wheel hop, when I dumped too high I ONLY spin my wheels and don't get anywhere. On the street though, around 2200-2500 rpm seems to give me a pretty great launch. As for the BSR, they have different stage programmers, level 1 for stock cars, and higher levels for modded. The higher levels run up the price tag as well.
definitely one of the coolest different cars out there. you know they are gonna make the 300hp version with AWD for 2010 R version I think. same T5 engine with the old S60R tuning. can't wait for that!
And yes, I absolutely love this car. I had been saying for years that if Volvo were to come out with a hatchback, I would sell my tuner Civic and get it. I think they delivered way beyond my expectations with this one, so of course I had to get it.
damn that goes for €836 thats over $1200 here... is that what u spent. Wish stuff was cheaper for this car.. And how do u like this thing!!! i love the c30
Actually it was $995 here when I bought it. I think it's well worth it, because you can flash and restore back to factory as many times as you want, whereas with a $550 flash by someone else is a 1-time deal. Plus if there are improvement/updates, you can upgrade the firmware on the unit. I think it's the best electronic performance upgrade to buy IF you don't plan on upgrading the motor parts themselves (downpipe, manifolds, etc.)
why do you say this? I plan to do some modifications in the near future. Why is the tune stopping them? And do you tune the ecu or are you downloading tunes from companies?
Well the specific PPC that I purchased isn't designed to run with larger downpipes or aftermarket intakes/manifolds. They do sell ones that will tune your car with the modifications in mind, but that'll run you more money. I was saying to stick with the lower priced one if you don't plan to physically mod. I tune the ECU with a PPC directly through the OBD-II port, and the PPC itself can be upgraded at the company's website whenever they make changes by connecting to PC with a USB.
I must do some reading. Thanks man. First watching the vid I thought the skivic sound was you. I thought something was very wrong. Both seem like hella nice cars though.
I am going to bring my c30 to the track soon. So u ran a 14.5 @ what? that's not to bad. I heard they do 15 flat. I think they can run quicker. so what do u have done again?? just a chip!
I think it was around 98mph, but don't quote me on that. I had a reaction time of 0.6 seconds because the track was sticky and I didn't want to launch too hard and break something. The only thing done was an ECU flash from a PPC unit I purchased from BSR Svenska AB.
Both... PPC stands for Portable Program Carrier, it's the type of device allowing me to flash the ECU myself and return it to factory settings whenever I wish by using the OBD-II port. Different companies manufacture different PPCs for different vehicles, and in my case, BSR is the manufacturer, they do Volvo, Saab, and some other European vehicles. They just updated the program yesterday for T5 motors and it runs a lot nicer now (not as spiky as before).
