Its really great. A greate gayoki. Some greate use of 'kori' and 'sudha' nodes, like 'kori' and 'sudha' ma' and 'kori' and 'sudha' ni'. And the different style of singing of one line again and again takes the song in a different level.

Manabendrajee is my favourite Nazrul singer. He is of different class which is un-comparable. He has set the standard which others are trying to achieve.

If the the tabla is good it changes the mood of the song. For this song tabla was plyed by Badal Ghosh from Kolkata who is a top professional and specialized in Nazrul songs. You play pretty good too.

I love every single song she picked for this album and how she treated them slightly differently, still maintaining the Nazrul-ness of the songs. I remember being blown away at the CD launch event.

I agree with you 100%. I love Nazrul geeti. She is one of the few present day singers who sing them with lot of emotion and depth with correctness of suur & tal. I missed that cd launch but later read about that in the newspapers.
