  • @fightme700 haha yeah.. well i want headphones with actually good sound but i want it stylish as well... for example i tried beats and they literally suck, i loved beyer dynamics but i don't like their design... can u recomend me one in between? or even better under a $300 budget?

  • should i get this or the ath700mk2 or pioneer hdj1000? i will use them for studio monitoring, djing and normal listening,

  • fairly.

  • @InnerFidelity I would love you to post a video just tearing a low end skull-candy headphone apart.

  • these or K172 HD?

  • Comment removed

  • My favorite way to wear headphones on one ear is just putting on of the sides behind my ear. All I need to do to balance it is tilt it a little bit more forward. That it probably the most comfortable way to do it, I'm actually doing it right now.

  • Hey can you please do SOL Republic Tracks HD?

  • One question are you a sound engineer or is this review thing a hobby??

just outta curiosity cuz in the back I can see lotta coils and stuff!!

    plz reply

  • @thevoicerapstar He is Tyll Hertsens, former boss at Headroom. IIRC, his reviews are professional (paid) reviews, but this is a very long time hobby of his, and he is known for being THE headphone maniac.

  • what headphone would you recommend for a nice bass sound in the $100-200 range?

  • @handsomeking2007 Easy ones:

    Audio Technca ATH-M50 ~160

    Sennheiser HD 25-1 II ~200

    V-Moda M80 ~200

  • So is there any other headphone under $200 that you would recommend over the ATH-M50 ?

  • @bradd504 sony MDR XB 700, they are also an incredibly good over ear headphone

  • @quinto551 yes if you want lack of balance and TONS of bass then the xb700s are s good choice

  • @bradd504 i would check out the ultrasone DJ1 as theyre about the same price and some people feel better. They definitely look better as well.

  • @bradd504 I belive he would probably say V Moda M-80

  • audio technica are used by dr dre apparently

  • @cisco9x whats your point? im not saying beats by dre suck, but its obvious that he doesnt use his own product.

  • Can You Review Shure Srh 440 ???

  • Hi! i would like to know how is this compared to the skullcandy aviator?thanks!

  • Can you review SOL Republic Tracks HD???

  • What would you recommend for a $500 budget??

  • @Mozo901 I would say the best sub-500 headphone is the Sennheiser HD 650. Really wants an amp.

  • this is a fairly good review. :D

  • Audio Technica ATH-M50 or Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Solo which is is best ??

  • @jensnilss Beats are WAAAAYYY overpriced, these are better then the 400$ beats, I have used them also.

  • @jensnilss ath m50 u dumbfuck

  • how about review for sennheiser 280 hd pro?

  • Tyll! Audio Technica is releasing a white version of these and a 50th anniversery version also! Its on there site! Care to get a pair to show us? Pleeeeeaseee

  • Can you review the sennheiser hd 449 please ?

  • I'm REALLY trying to find great headphones under $200, and I love good, deep, nice bass, and I listen to all genres.

Are these M50's the ones for me?

  • @hobadahee Just get them, but the headphones need to be burned to experience their quality( use them for at least 40 hrs to get their quality)

  • @victor714ps3 I will (:

But what do you mean by that? I've heard a lot about headphones having to be heard a while for them to really show the quality, but why?

  • @hobadahee It's generally a mix of the drivers and pads loosening up from use, and the user becoming acclimated to the sound. Most physical burn-in happens happens within the first week of use, depending on how often the can was used at what volume.

  • @aeriescannonfodder Thank you! :)

  • @hobadahee look at the audio technica ath pro700mk2's. It is pretty much these headphones, with diahrea inducing bass. Look them up, and look at some reviews. I'm getting them soon :p

  • @Consumergeek77 Haha, well you took the bad headphones at the start right?

  • nice shirt

  • HI.

  • Lol beats are fucken gay. Haha if you compair beats to any real head phone your an idiot. Listening to music with beats is like listening to a different song haha they fuck around with the frequencys to blend everything togeather to make a casual listener ask and tell their mom for Christmas. And that how music should sound like when in he studio get the FUCK OUT

  • @YUPIMAGORDON You know they make 4000 dollar headphones right? And beats is the worst headphone for at least the price.

  • MY BEATS PRO's WILL KILL ALL OF YOUR HEAD PHONES #there the best in the world!!

  • @YUPIMAGORDON Oh really?... You have just wasted your money on a pair of shitty headphones

  • @YUPIMAGORDON Typical beats user "beats r the best blah blah blah"...u have no idea what ur talking about bro. ur obviously not an audiophile so shut it and let these men discuss real headphones ok :) good boy

  • @YUPIMAGORDON um no they aint there a waste of money.

  • @YUPIMAGORDON

    Oh.. You're hilarious.

Please, go waste your time somewhere else, we actually care about sound.

We don't care for your overpriced and muddy wastes of cash.

  • Whats are the best over ear, noise cancelling, sturdy, and 150 or under headphones that has base?

  • What headphone would you recommend for optimal noise canceling, over the ear, bassy (but still balanced), and portability on a mobile device?

  • hi can you please do some grado headphones review. thanks :-)

  • @tachumi Sure. I don't like them except for the SR60. Review done.

  • @InnerFidelity thanks.... yeah i kinda change my mind about grado. their air chamber technology got me curious, i might get something from senheiser or beyerdynamics... any suggestion for $200-250 price range. thanks again

  • @InnerFidelity Hahahahaha...everyone hates grado these days.

  • @InnerFidelity haha I bought grados and they sound good but the cord twisted around and around and around, it had this natural awful twisted tension built in from when I got them on the part going from the earpiece to this center combining piece, they got so bad eventually that they broke. it had this awful plastic chunk thing where the cords met near your upper chest, super bulky, annoying, and it got caught constantly on anything and everything. I think I wanna buy these ones!

  • @InnerFidelity only considering the sound, can u rank these headphones in order: soul ludacris sl150, beats studios, v moda cross fade lp, v moda m80, sync and street by 50, bose ae2, oe2, and the audio technica 50?? Thanks. Keep up the good work

  • are the headies portable ? I wanna wear them on travelling to classes and college.

  • you should review the krs kns 8400

  • @InnerFidelity I have a pair of the M50's and i love them to bits but i want a second pair of headphones that have like the M50's, good all round quality but that have a bit more bass. I have been looking at the Audio technica ATH pro700mk2 and the Phiaton ms400s, do you have any others which would be better or which one out of those two? Please reply, thanks in advance.

  • I'm stuck between the V-Moda M-80 and the m-50's. What's your recommendation?

  • @HelloRamona I own the M50's, and have heard the M-80's. GET THE M-80's.

  • I can say they are very good from experience.

  • Thank you for this great review! But I have a question: What's about the Denon D2000 or Fischer-Audio 003? Both headphones are highly recommended on the internet. What would you suggest?

  • Tater salad

  • @Gamebanga +10pts for Ron White reference

  • @coolfordro I get that sometimes.

  • Why are the M50's so much more popular than Shure SRH-840s? The 840's are so much more detailed than M50's, and their sound signature is much more favorable for anything except hiphop, some techno, and certain types of metal (power, thrash, and screamo).

  • @drgnfrc13 Exactly the reason you just said. The audio newbie seems to want bass, and the M50 will give them just that. Metal, hip hop and electronic are what's hot, and if the m50 does it better, it will be more popular.

It's easy to recommend the m50, but I feel it gets too much praise.

  • @aeriescannonfodder I hear ya. But what would you recommend instead? I end up going with the CAL!, M-80, Mix Master, Amperior at the moment. Sometimes I feel like the best reco for most is that Monoprice cheap can. Wow somebody, and then let them look around from there.

  • @aeriescannonfodder I would think pop, rock, R&B, heavy/progressive metal, alternative, etc. would be more popular, and all of these genres sound significantly better through 840's... I guess you're right about the bass, though.

  • do u burn them in b4 u review them

  • I am using audio technica ATH m50 to listen to this review right now, I must say that the highs are a little by annoying, and some songs do cause crackle, which I have only experienced with these headphones. but the bass is good, even without an amp and the mid is good just not as strong as I would like.

  • @nikoe416 How is the sound stage?

  • Comment removed

  • audio technica ath-m50 or SHURE srh750dj ?

  • These or KRK 8400? I'm looking for accurate and deep lows. Thanks!

  • @Gamebanga I'd say the M50's their bass is dead on but you do have to burn them in abit first

  • @CheezeMaster812 Thanks man! I'm gettin'm

  • @Gamebanga leave them connected to your device on a looping playlist on 50% or higher volume connected to a charger when u are not using them or sleeping, i heard they may need up to 24-48 burn in hours, if u dont the bass will still sound great but once they burn in ive heard they are more amazing then they already are watch this review if u haven't already /watch?v=nLrZ4AZNX6s

  • Comment removed

  • @Gamebanga Burn-in is somewhat of a myth. Headphones do change somewhat over time, but any significant change after the first 2-3 hours of playback is going to be primarily psychological, as it typically only takes about an hour or two for headphones to reach their intended sound.

  • Would you recommend these over the dre beats studios?

  • @andthenee94 These are much, much better than the studios, for that matter, they are sound quality wise better than the beats pros. Hope i helped!

  • i wish this was in canada =(

  • whats your most favorite headphone that covers the ears around 200$ to 150$

  • Does these headphones have a small soundstage because they are closed?

  • So would you say that these headphones are better than the solo hd's?

  • @narutofanere These sound lightyears better than even the beats pro.

  • Comment removed

  • Audio Technica ATH-M50 or Crossfade LP2? i listen to mostly modern music with a lot of bass.

  • @UKjwa11 LP2 for bass heavy, M50 is more of an all-rounder.

  • I have the ATH-m50s. I was going to go for the D2000 initially but settled for these due to the unavailability of the D2000. I am wondering what models I should research for my next upgrade? I was looking to spend about 500-600 dollars. I was looking at HD650 but I place a lot of importance on bass and I wasnt sure if the HD650 would please me in the same way that the ATH-m50 pleased me in the low end. D5000 was another contender, as was the D7000 depending on price. What models do you recommend

  • Is the bass on these headphone just as good as the beats by Dre?

  • @kenneDiep Better. The bass on the Beats is very loose and accentuated, and really sounds terrible.

  • Also, how are these compared to the Shure SRH840 Headphones? Thanks

  • thank you sooooo much!

  • Do these headphones require an amp?

  • How do these compare to the Sennheiser HD 380 Pros? They are the only two I'm considering buying at the moment. Would love some feedback.

  • I'm trying to decide between these and the comparable sony model (zdxr700whatever), thing is I'm willing to spend more (say $100) to get better headphones. Is there something that maybe peak my interest. (I'm a rock and blues enthusiast btw)

  • i have this one and i prefer this than getting an expensive beats.. ^_^ loved this!

  • This or v-moda lp2?

  • Do you think the Skullcandy Aviator is better than this?

  • @yylikeutube123 skullcandy is shit, if people say these are better than beats, so they should be betterthan mediocre Skullcandys

  • @yylikeutube123 Never buy Skullcandys. M50's are much better.

  • @xxxTridenT Thx! But what about M50 vs Senneheiser HD598? or Denon AH D1100?

  • @yylikeutube123 the sennheiser 598 have a better sounds than the other two but it's more expensive and don't have a good look, the denons have a great sound and great price but in my opinion the m50 is the best...comfort,FABOLOUS sound, sexy look, can be found for half the price

  • @ChrisTheNerf Great! Thx a lot!

  • @ChrisTheNerf your welcome :)

  • these or the sennhiser hd 598? dont care about the 598's being open which have better sound?

  • @fernie8691 these will have better bass, the 598's will have better mids and trebs. take your pick. (side note: i personally enjoy my 595s SO MUCH i would have to recommend them) (595s and 598s are identical on the inside)

  • which ones would you recommend, these or the mix masters?

  • Hey, your videos are very helpful and interesting, and I've learned quite a lot about headphones from them. But I'm having some trouble, I would like to buy some headphones for about 150 dollars with a lot of bass, but still nice mids and highs. What would you recommend? And I have one question about the Klipsch Image Ones, since theyre on-ear will people around you be able to hear what you're listening to? Thank you.

  • For monitoring, whould you recommend the sennheiser hd280 pro or Audio Technica ATH-M50? From what I've heard, the 280 seems to be "light" on the low end, and the M50 seems to have a heavier low end. I just want a flatter sound.

  • fairly

  • Hi as these are now about the same price as the highly recommended Shure SRH 840s, which would you recommend?

  • Is a sound card recommended for computers? If so any cheap adequate suggestions?

  • What would you reccomend for a music lover? ( i listen to techno and rap mostly so expecting lots of bass)

  • @Owerlidude Music lover? Techno/rap? I am laughing right now.

  • Comment removed

  • @bcasey25raptor Im glad u find me entertaining. Its the genres i prefer. The only band i listen is Foster the people. now piss off srub

  • @Owerlidude Music lover and rap doesn't belong in the same sentence.

  • @bcasey25raptor hard to take advice from a person with a anime profile pic

  • @Owerlidude And why is that? You are must be new to the interwebs.

  • @bcasey25raptor because it makes u seem more like a child...

  • @Owerlidude Achievement unlocked. Being a douche acknowledged.

  • @bcasey25raptor I would be offended, but i took an arrow to the knee

  • @Owerlidude That's what you call "Insult to injury".

  • hey guys im looking for some really good headphones for christ mas i was thinking of getting the pro beats, what do you think. please reply

  • @THEkdude420 Everyone wants beats because they are so popular, their price is so high because its by dr. dre. In reality they don't sound as clear as the ATH-M50. The ATH-M50 have a deeper bass and have very clear high tones. For sound they are 8.75/10, Beats Pro are 7/10. If u want to be like your friends than get the beats (they are still very good). But if you really want great sounding headphones get the Audio Technica ATH-M50.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

  • @mma673 thanks i guess

  • Ehm ... sorry?

  • It is "FAIRLY" annoying when you say; ehm...

  • Is it worth paying the extra money for the Bowers & Wilkins P5's? Is there a noticeable sound difference?

  • Are the audio Technica ath-m50 around ear?

  • one other question, if i buy the Audio Technica ATH-M50, do i need a sound card on my pc to hear this headphones at its full potential (volume and audio quality)? if so what would you recommend?

  • I really like your reviews, they are very accurate, and i would thank you a lot if you could answer my question, i have seen many reviews of audiophiles and gamers reviewing high-end headphones, but i have never seen an audiophile reviewing gaming headphones/headsets, i love music as i love gaming, and there are a lot of gaming advertised headsets at a price of 150$ (razer megalodon), my question is have you tryed them? what should i buy? is virtual 7.1 surround worth it or this HP are superior?

  • Nice review

  • are these better then the sony mdr xb500's

  • how is the isolation with this ones?

  • @licandres01 Isolation is pretty good.

  • @InnerFidelity for gym and home usage what u recommend?

  • @licandres01 Passive, When you put them on your ears it sounds like putting your hands over your ears, when music is playing, you're gonna hear almost nothing outside.

  • Can you take/make calls with this one? I.e. Is there a mic?

  • do the leak, cause i havebeats studio and im replacing them for these ath-m50,

so my main reason to switch my beats is obvioulsy sound quality, and leakge.

so my main question is if they leake?

  • @sebster369 I have these headphones, They leak if you have them turned up all the way, but it really isn't that bad. Good choice though, you'll be happy, these headphones sound much crisper and neutral then the Beats loose overwhelming bass.

  • you look like david gilmoure

  • @InnerFidelity

from a sound quality standpoint, would you recommend the M50s or the AKG k240s?

  • I've heard that compared to other headphones around the same price range, the M50 has recessed mids (mainly vocals are not as clear). Did you also find this to be the case?

  • First of all, thx for all ur reviews, they surely make the world better !!!

Now, I'm settled down to two of them as the coming thanksgiving gift for myself, which one would u recommend then? (Music major, so I do care the sound quality).

Audio Technica ATH-M50 or Soul by Ludacris SL150? Look forward to ur help! Thx!

  • @yylikeutube123 V-Moda M-80

  • @InnerFidelity Hi Tyl could you do a review on the Audio Technica ATH-WS55 it's meant to be a great budget headphone, would love to hear your review and opinion on it. Could you also do some more budget headphone reviews like that of the JVC HA M750 or AKG K518. Love all your reviews & cheers for sharing your knowledge!

  • @InnerFidelity Why do you suggest the M-80's over the ATH-M50 or SL150? have been looking between those two as well so just was wondering.

  • @InnerFidelity What about V-Moda LP2 compared to M-80 regardless the heavy bass?

  • Is there another pair of headphones but wireless than can match this ones in quality, sound and price?

  • @youngceb DOn't know about price, but I like the Sennheiser RS 170 and RS180

  • @youngceb No.

  • @InnerFidelity Hi Tyl,Could you by any chance do a review of the m-50's "big brother" the Audio technica ATH-PRO700MK2 please?

  • @InnerFidelity what headphone would you consider to be the best?

  • how can i get them for 100-149 and how can i get them coiled?Example, how can i get them coiled from Amazon

  • Are they noise cancelling?

  • @InnerFidelity how would these compare with the pro700mk2 in terms of sound?

  • Comment removed

  • are this good for casual listening, on the ipod? i mean the best headphone that i've listenined were the beats by dre, so this would be better for listening for like 2 hours with an ipod?

  • Thank you, very informative and much better than those other 'reviews' that are really just you chaps showing us what they bought. Well done sir and thanks once more. I have now added these to my audition list. Harry

  • Would you recommend thses headphones or sennheiser hd 280 pro.

  • this has been the most critical review of the ath-m50's i've seen. still ordered them anyway! they're shipping right now:)
