that 10 was nice,its diffrent then most bucks look so it has like its own personalty,my first buck was a 4pt too,last year was my first archery buck,it was a 6 point but i will never forget that hunt,and now that i think about it,im pretty sure i had my eyes closed when i shot,lol

thanks for the comment. i went bow hunting for one season, but i never got a shot at a buck. i had to give up bow hunting, because i get poison oak really bad :( sure glad that nasty stuff is dead during rifle season.

@sotik You're lucky that you're not allergic.  I get the mess and it takes me months to get rid of it. And yeah, he did taste pretty good. I think we used most of him for jerky and the rest for cubesteak. Good stuff!

score him non-typical. you might get a little higher score on the B&C scale. the typical scoring is only looking at how symmetrical the deer is, and obviously this deer is not anywhere near symmetrical. go for the non-typical score, i think it will be higher because that deers got some mass.

thats a nice buck, im from saskatchewan canada and the deer here weigh around 300 lbs. my biggest bucks score 162 5/8 typical b&c points. has an inside spread of 20 1/2 inches. where are you from?

I shot it with a Remington .270 710 model, with a ballistic tip bullet. Ballistic tips really pack a punch. They've got good fragmentation on impact. Congrats on your first deer, and good luck this season!

i'm from north carolina so they don't usually get much bigger than that, they're whitetail deer, and this deer was a non-typical with double brow-tines almost triple on 1 side cuz of a sticker point. i think he was so strange cuz he didn't have any balls, and no he really did'nt have any nuts so he was kind of a freak deer.
