interesting game. your exactly right about your pivotal mistake; that pawn could have been taken later on. the position of your queen was much more important. however, I think Nf6 was also a mistake, allowing him to tear open the king side. nevertheless, good video and good game.
I think you mean my f-pawn. It would have been 26...f6 27.Rxe6 fxg5 28.Rxe7 Qa6 29.hxg5 Qg6 30.Qg4 and White is up two pawns. This is the variation I saw in the game but because of time allowed on video I left it out. The line I missed was 26...f6 (as you suggested) 27.Rxe6 Bb4 28.Qh5 fxg5 29.Rh6
gxh6 30.Qg6+ with perpetual check and a draw. Thanks for your comment. I wish you the best in your chess games.
i dont know very much about chess at this level could you explain to me why a particular move was not viable there was a point at5:30 where you could have moved in with your C pawn forking the knight and rook and i see that he could retake the capture. could you explain why this would not be a wise move?
You keep attacking queen side and Larry keep center control "e5"

@raunholt In the Caro-Kann White normally attacks on the kingside and Black on the queenside. Controlling the center made Larry's victory easier.

I always believe that if you think you are going to lose you may as well stay home. I am realistic too and I know my chances are slim at best!!!???
