August 19, 2009 Time-lapse (LP Mini-Supercell)

Check out my site...The HP's I was on during the 19th had some good structure. May 15th is still the storm of the year IMO.

Awesome structure...I was down in the HP Supercells in Sagamon & Macon Counties this day. Did catch the tornado in eastern sangamon county but was heavily rainwrapped.

Thanks...nope, I stayed put in central Illinois...it's tough chasing that rain-wrapped stuff so I decided not too. Hard to get awesome structure shots with storms rain-wrapped like they were that day. But I sure thought twice about not going haha

You sure lucked out! I chose to chase near Springfield and ended up catching that Lake Springfield EF1 tornado. Downside was we almost drove into it. Came in on the backside by the rain, and the tornado was rain wrapped on the back side (we were on the wrong side of the storm most of the day). Glad you got some action!

cool time lapse. I was in Bureau that day and caught a brief twister just N of Lasalle a little after 5pm. I was a bit nervous myself with how those cells were imbeded.
