@souzaknight86 Raise them in a big aquarium or a pond, and quality foods only, i use Hikaris goldfish foods, vegetables, earthworms, blood worms, fruit, algae droppys, insects etc.
@homer655 kk and to make them breed and i put a bag of ice and just let it sit tell they water gets cold and then when the water is cold can i put hot water in a bag because the fish might thinks its spring
@jalen70506 You can also try putting the fish pair in a smaller tank (with mature tank/filter) for a week with 10-20% water changes every day. And then put them back in a bigger breeding tank to trigger spawning. I've tried the ice technique under hot summer days with poor results, ice melts fast and it doesn't lower the temperature much at all to be honest. Easiest would be to buy a cooler, but those can be very expensive if your lucky you can find a used cooler on ebay or something.
@godzilar35 Continue with the medicine and slowly raise the temperature to 30-32 degrees Celsius for 24 hours then slowly back to room temperature. Also add a very small amount of sea salt in your tank, one spoon on 100L. Worked for me, hopefully it works for you, good luck man.
@homer655 ahh when i woke up he was dead at least he lived for 4 years
but i dont think the med is working cuz when i started using it only he had the ick.then 2 days later the other gold fish got it and its about to die. even the cleaning fish has it now i dont think thiere is enthing else left fot me to do :( what shod i wash the tank with after they all die maybe a tiny bit of bleach?
@godzilar35 No don't use bleach, if the tank is empty from fish and other live stock (including plants) just raise the temperature to 35-40 degrees and let it be like that for 48 hours minimum, then all the Ich parasites and their eggs will die for sure. New eggs can come back with new livestock/plants etc. when introducing them to a new tank, so be care full. Search the net for "Ichthyophthirius Multifiliis"

@homer655 i resently cleaned the water and used normal tap water because using the medicine takes to long im not sure because all my other goldfish eat exept for the big ones
can i move my 1.5 inch fantails in with 4 inch goldfish? cuz my fantails are only in a 2 gallon which isnt good for them

@jalen70506 Its almost impossible, males get white spots on their gill flaps (not ich) at spawning time. Thats the only way i know.

@godzilar35 Any natural sea salt will do from the pet shop, they know what you need. Remember you don't need much 1 table spoon on 100 L is plenty.
Dissolve it in a bucket of water and then put it in the tank.
