  • would an 8th scale buggy be good for this, because the xtm xt2e im thinking about getting looks like it has enough ground clearance and has pretty wide width.

maybe slap some maxx paddle tires on it and see if it'll work

any other suggestions on starting chassis?

  • @rockthecatbox21 I suggest getting an 1/8 truggy instead. Here all unlimited comp cars are truggy based builds with DIY bottom plates and universal joints.

  • @RcLegionProducts any truggies you'd recommend thinking about an ofna hyper 10TT roller chassis

  • @rockthecatbox21 For a modifed class that'd be a perfect choise. I just bought one myself. For the time being it doesn't look scaler but it performs well.

  • @rockthecatbox21 check this out " axialracing. com/wordpress/2011/03/21/rc-formula-offroad/ "

  • @FireballGER Checked right after the article came out. I think it's awesome!

  • is thatt home made? (1:22)

  • @slash4x4lipo

    Yep

  • what kind of motors are you guys using? castle?

  • Probably most of us use castle creations MMM/MMP combos. Some guys use hobbyking motor combos.

  • Kyllä Suomen pojat osaa..

Kele että on hienoja noi mod luokan pelit.

    Respectit Joensuusta+++++

  • @kokanokka

    Ty ty ;)

  • why no nitro :/

  • Because nitros are soooo last season ;)

  • @RcLegionProducts you meant to say because nitros are sooooo 1900..

:) Brushless is like constantly driving in V-TEC mode. Nitro has no torque, stinks, requires a lot of maintanence, needs fuell and lastly: pretty gay.

  • @RcLegionProducts

...maybe. But the sound of electric RC`s sucks. Especially when it comes to F1 offroad.

Nice vid and great idea anyway.

  • @valroadie nitro is to slow

  • muy bonito oky

  • Very nice! It looks very realistic!!

  • what is the model of the last car. and is there a build with pics somewhere?

  • It's Hotbodies lightning stadium based build.

  • I plan on building somthing like this.

Do you have any good advise regarding axels ( i plan on running stiff axels and not independent suspension )

Personally i have been looking at alu axels from rc4wd, and i plan to build it to fit the 1:10 size.

  • I would take axial ax10 axles. Quite cheap and lot's of upgrade parts. There are also many dealers selling axial parts. I belive axial axles are more cabable than alu axles because of light weight but I haven't tried alu axles yet. If you wan't a scale formula offroad car then rc4wd alu axles would be your choise.

  • Nice just like the real size cars lots of power .

Could you drive also over water with this cars?

Because the have so much wheel spin?

    keep them rolling guys .

    greets from the Netherlands

  • Thanks. We have tried water crossing and it worked. We might try that again next summer. Then I can upload a water crossing vid.

  • do you do it near portland sometimes

  • Wrong continent.

  • Hey man, these things are really cool and I think you guys have done a great job replicating the real thing. But to be completely honest with you, being so short and to the point with everybody probably gives off the wrong vibe if you want people to get into the sport. Try actually answering some questions instead of pointing everybody elsewhere. It's a hobby, you obviously have the answers, give them, don't point people somewhere else. No question is a dumb one, just possibly uninformed.

  • Thanks for your comment. I'll try my best answering every question more than 3 words in future.

  • instead of using brushless conversions could you just use nitro trucks cuz i have a revo 3.3 and its 4 wheel drive

  • Yes. We also have nitro class.

  • I'm new in the R/C and I don't know what BL is can you tell me

  • Brushless. Try google.

  • the mad truck in this video is it stock or modified

  • Stock mad truck using bl electronics.

  • If you put sand thrower tyres on a savage. Would it manage to do that??

  • Depends whether it's gas or electric (BL). Some hills for sure. Anyway, I belive Maxx Paddles and Panther Paddles are better tires.

  • One thing different of this and the real. In that they have the throttle on max most of the time.

The real is that they put the pedal to the floor and then as they go on the hill they let it go or else they will get stuck

  • 100% ture.

  • hey i was going to rate 5 stars but acydantly hit 1 sars sorry !!!!

  • Np, that happens sometimes.

  • i don't like this kind of sport...surely!!!

  • 5 stars!

  • Thanks.

  • can you do this with a brushless 2wd ??? this is great

  • It'll be hard. 4wd is must in foff.

    Thanks.

  • what about a losi xxx 4 g+, its a 4wd, but kinda small, awesome grey tuber

  • I've had losi xx4 and yours can climb some hills. On the other hand I'm not sure how long it can technically handle the power of BL and foff driving style.

  • wow this is sweet.

i doubted electric rc's untill this video.

    now i want one :p

(Baja 5t TGN track pipe, Savage XL 5.9 underglow kit)

    is what i have now.

  • hey guys awesome vid, whats the very first car and the one on 1 min 23secs. is this custom build if so who did it , im out to get one.cheers

  • It's my Unlimited EP car. I've made the bottom plate and a friend of mine made the tube chassis (I designed it). Specs: The base truck is HB LST Pro-R Rc-monster motor mount - some mods wb 46.6cm (18,4"). Mamba Max Feigao 8XL Rc-monster 13t mod 1 pinion / 48-50 spur 2x MaxAmps 2s 6k mah lipos in series (=4s) Ubec 2,4GHz Proline Maxx Paddles Hope it was helpful. It'll get some changes this year: more power and new look.
  • Throw a huge Neu or Lehner (if you can get one) and you'd have a sick truck. Like a 1521 or maybe even larger! Hell Ya!

  • I've bought MMM with 2200kv Neu.

    Haven't tried yet.

  • a brushless would come in handy with this btw this is FUCKIN awesome!!! never thought about formula off-roading?

  • thats cool i never knew they had this type f comp. i need to look into it.

  • I have a brushless Clodbuster build (over 50kmph), which paddle tires would you recommend? I want to use them on the stock Clod wheels....You guys are sick!! More videos please!

  • Thanks!

Proline maxx paddles or panther paddles should be fine for clod.

  • wow this is crazy nd awsome

i need help on finding one do u know a website

  • Just love it, everything i need is ordred to get a Formula Offroad here..based on the AX-10..keep up the good work!!

  • Thanks!

  • SWEET

    c",)

  • hey, how did you put BL in the HL mad truck. i put a vxl motor into mine, but the stock gearing is far to tall and i cant find a smaller pinion gear that will work?????

  • It has BK 6XL motor and mod1 13t pinion.

  • Dude, thats fuckin' awesome! Gimme some more!
