Hot damn, the entire film was shot on a canon 7d...a camera that I own! That's incredible that the amateur videographer can film with the same equipment used to film for the cinema.
ughh, not another "look at me, I'm a hipster, I have to move back into my parents house, oh, life is so terrible: movie".... but I will say that the shot selections are very interesting, although it could use a good colorist.
being a 22 year old female i could really relate to this film. im a weirdo. i have sex with jerks with facial hair. i go to lame art shows. i drink an excessive amount of wine. im just trying to figure out who i am.
by any chance, does anyone know where i can watch this film? the release date was set on nov 12, but i live near nyc and didnt recall it showing at the ifc center, angelika, etc
Technical wise, I was very pumped to see a full movie shot with the Canon EOS 7D since I have the camera myself. But the lightning in the film completely ruins every scene. It looks dull.
everyone should remember the girl Aura is playing herself and the mother and sister are all really her family playing their own roles. Also, Aura is not only the main actor but the writer and director. This movie's extremely worth your attention.
I've seen this in JFF, Jerusalem Film festival and loved it, we met Lena which realy help us to get a better understanding of the film. Movey made me feel in both sides of the family as a parent and as a child... we are traveling between these 2 ends looking for some comfort, as they say in Yidish "the first half of life we suffer from our parents the second half from our kids..."
I'm glad a good number of people hate this, I like it, but because I'm a hipster if everyone liked I wouldn't feel as comfortable liking it.

I wonder if this was total DIY or if she had a crew of 50 people and 500 friends to help her out with the sound; lighting, etc.

This trailer makes the film look like trash, fortunately, I caught this interview on the radio before watching it.

Based on that, it seems like this girl keeps it real. The movie is probably worth checking out.
