Did Steve Harvey and his people know that Sharon Carson wrote the book, Act Like A Lady Think Like A Man? If he knew, shame on him. It's unlikely that it was a mere coincidence. He might have gotten away with it legally because it takes money to fight a court battle and I doubt that Ms. Carson has the resources to challenge him. All the best to you, Ms. Carson. If they both r coming from2 diff perspectives (and it seems that they are) than nothing has bn done that's wrong. I totally believe that coming up w/the same title is possible, but their title is 2 unique. My eyebrows were raised when I lrned that Steve's publisher was a woman;maybe she's read Ms. Carson's bk. Bt when u thnk of what he's trying 2 relay (4 women to learn to think like men, bt in the meantime still act like a lady, it does seem possible. Anyway Ms.Carson's bk seems best for me!

You are absolutely right, Msglovely, . . The content of Steve's book and Sharon's book are not that same because each book comes from a DIFFERENT prespective. Most of Steve's book is his personal take on reletionships and this that he has experinceed, if you listen to his show then you would know that things from the book has been shared and continued to be shared with his listeners. The tile the same but the thoughts are Very different. Sharon should let is REST!!!!!

I know that when I had a series of songs copyrighted, the form I completed indicated that while the lyrics of a song could be copyrighted, the title could not. They gave the example that there are a lot of songs entitlted, "I Love You". I don't know if this same thing applies to book titles. If so, then Steve may be in the clear - even though it seems TERRIBLY coincidental.

I think it's more than coincidental. Music and books are two different things entirely as art. Title of a song and title of a book can draw people to the subject matter in different ways. When there are two songs with the same title but different composers, nobody expects to hear the same music. But books with the same title always raise eyebrows. Because the content has the capacity to mirror the earlier work in some way. Titles weigh heavier with text than music.

I read Ms. Carson's book this weekend. It is short, sweet, and simple. She did not pump it up, she state the facts. I am amazed that a big time celebrity would stoop so low and take something that does not belong to him. I am even more amazed and shocked that his people would set him up and not even get permission. Sounds like copyright infringement to me. Please support Ms. Carson's book.

The author said so herself that the book is about loving yourself...embracing who you are. That's a totally different platform than Steve Harvey's book. Seems like the only conflict is the title of the book. Do you know how many books have been written about relationships...too many to count. There's no conflict in content...just the title.

While I'm a Steve Harvey fan I also know more importantly that right is right and wrong is wrong.

I wonder why his publishers didn't do their research on this.

I enjoy Steve's book and maybe he'll have to re-release his book under a different title. Steve's tips to women or something. I'm going to purchase Ms Carson's book via e-books. ( I need all the help and advise I can get on this subject)
