I live in the San Francisco East Bay area, we have bullocks oriole, but have a difficult time keeping them in my yard. See them occaionally at the humming bird feeds and in out bird bath and water fall, but no more then a few sighting a season, would like them to visit more often, nesting would be awesome--any suggestions.
@jumpnstil Try oranges and jelly. They really do make a difference. My favorite jelly is a mixture of blackberry & grape BirdBerry Jelly. Check out Holland Hill's website for some beautiful copper fruit and jelly Oriole feeders. Also, another of my favorites is our Recycled Plastic Fruit and Jelly feeder by Songbird Essentials.
I've just started horsing around with these feeders they seem to work really well. i'm getting a new oriole feeder called a AUDUBON ORIOLE FEEDER. it has slots for Grape Jelly, the nectar and oranges. goggle the name AUDUBON ORIOLE FEEDER and check it out. i'll let you how mine works out when i get it.
Thanks I will give it a try.

Where are you located, Mel? I'm in Northern Virginia and have never seen an Oriole in my life.
