I think it was one of the neighbors, why else would some of the neighbors report hearing screams and the sound of 'metal hitting concrete' and not go to see what was happening. The sounds were heard at 2 am or so and the note was found at 5:30. Neighbors would easily have access to the house on multiple occasions and would know it inside out. It's horrifying.

"the killer" was so comfy in their house that he relaxed and wrote a 5 page essay and a practice essay. so this "intruder" decided to hell with note i'll molest her and kill her right here. as it goes in forensics no one can leave a room without leaving any kind of evidence that will link them to the scene of the crime. check it out yourself. no such thing as a perfect murder. These parents were not good at covering up. FAIL!!!!!
