  • im pale and white as fuck and my hair is nappy as hell. im only half black tho

  • "smile with your eye" omg my dream is to take like ONE picture with tyra and smile with our eyes

  • I think the tara ladies hair is really pretty

  • of the two sisters the one with the shorter hair is so much cuter in her face than the other one!!!

  • Tyra gets on my nerves.... She tries to preach something she's not on several topics... anyway

  • She looks like shes going to cry...She obviously hates it.

  • @dardarbinx07 That's probably not why....

  • @CraziiSexyKidd hmm no I have plenty of oils, not enough to make it greasy but plenty to keep it healthy. My hair never gets dry washing it everyday. Oh I see, well i think the naturall black hair looks nice but that would bother me I think, I would definitely go for the conditioner thing lol:P

  • My boyfriend loves my natural hair. Not too many black guys are like that, but I'm glad he's different. And as for that girl at 8:45, she's not even all the way natural. You can still see she has perm ends in her hair.

  • Im white and i understand the things about wanting straight 'beutiful' hair. When my sister was little she had hair just like a african woman fizzy, puffyetc. when she became 10 she started straightening her hair and damaging it really bad when she became 12 she had her hair permanently straighten... now she is 16 and dyed her hair from when she was 10 about more then 100 times (right now its red, purple, black, brown and green all mixed thougether) I miss her natural hair and i know she does too.

  • I'm glad Tyra failed at exposing the mother.

When I look at this, I understand the mom. It's like a Caucasian girl cutting her hair bald and the mom not liking it. Same way with this.

  • I feel like Tyra attacks the people on her show to make herself seem superior. She needs to be more respectful.

  • 9:00 she looks like she hates it...

  • @blackrose5559 she never perms her hair it's just weave or a wig so it's basically natural under

  • If Tyra wants black people to embrace their natural hair then why doesn't she ever have her natural hair? She has cornrows in this episode but every other time I see her it's sleek and straight.

  • She looks better after! :D

  • Taras mom is a stupid bitch

  • this is ridiculous, that girl with her natural hair looks so much better than she used to. i mean what is so pretty about straight hair when it's plastered to your head?

  • Kimberly's hair is SO pretty! And I'm white! It is so prettyy!!!

  • All I'm saying is...that in the time they had back stage I coulda put some perm rods and curly pudding in her hair. Why all these celeb stylists no on that A game. That's why I'd rather have my hair done by chicks from the black hair boards

  • wow i know its an issue sort it out....talking about shes gone natural hair like its a revolutionary thing jheez its a good step yes for your mind and your health i was a bit worried wen the mother was permin her 3 yr old hair and it was gettin in to her eyes cus it can make her blind. now its 2012 please sort this issue out its not always about the outward appearance sort out the mess inside soo we can move on

  • I guess I was a "lucky" one in my family, I'm the only girl and my mommas Black and my dads Italian so I have a mix of black and white hair, so it has my dads texture but its curly/ wavy. My little cousin also is Black and Chinese so unlike her sister and brothers she has long wavy but corse hair like her mom. I love my hair now, I did get a perm but I now hate the permed hair and whenever I find new growth I get exited and happy xD

  • I'm black & I LOVE my hair (:

  • I love my natural, coiled hair! One good thing about having natural hair is that it is so versatile when it comes to styling! I can wear my hair straight, curly, a blow and go, in an afro, twisted, braided, spiral curled, an updo and etc. So many options which means a different style every time!!!! Remember to LOVE YOUR HAIR AND KEEP IT HEALTHY!

  • it"s very embarrssing how the mother acts bcz of her Daughter's hair ! wow .. grow up women !

  • Comment removed

  • That woman is talking about black is beautiful, be who you are, be proud of your hair and take ownership of your personality, but her hair is STRAIGHT and PERMED......

  • There ain't many people in Australia with an Afro,

& now after watching this i feel more depressed coz'

i have to wash my hair soon, so i'll come

out looking like Diana Ross. We are in summer

now, so when i start to sweat Boom my hair goes

    frizzy......

  • Im 12 and i got my 1st perm on mothers day in 2010, so i was 10. I think it is possible to have HEALTHY permed hair but i also sometimes regret perming my hair because i think it would have been longer now if i had never gotten it. Sometimes i also think about growing out my perm but i would have to cut it:(

  • @passaicjersey saaame im bit older than you but only relaxed my hair at 17, the biggest mistake of my life cos my natural hair was long and thick hence why i relaxed it in the first place. Relaxing slowly damages your hair etc...

  • I think its about embracing yourself and not hiding from who you are. I think when u learn to embrace yourself others will follow because they see ur confidence. Its such a struggle to go against the status quo but someone has to do it

  • love my nappy hair

  • I went natural in the 12th grade and I expirienced the worst bullying and name calling ever. I had the famous micheal jackson fro or the good times doo. There wasn't a wave or curl to my hair and the more it grew the higher it got, lol. But my peers were mean, calling me names like coochie bush, weloma, or t-pain,( dont laugh). Guys like the straight look better, yeah they say they like natural hair but they dont know what that means. Anyway, natural hair is a challenge and its not for everyone.

  • You can tell that the white mom who has the interracial baby does not want her child to have kinky hair and the african american mom with the interracial baby has self-hate towards her own race. You have the right to want to have a baby by whoever you want but to actually be determined in your mind that you want a mixed baby for better hair is sick. The caucasian mother is just lazy to me. That little girl is too young for a perm and a weave, hell no.

  • White people have the biggest percentage of people who have curly hair. Many of them straighten their hair. I myself have very curly hair , the resemble spirals. Curly hair is fun and interesting while straight is boring to me.

  • ugh tht mom reminds me of the one from madeas fam. reunion

  • I can see right through that mother's lies. I already know what the deal is. Look at her light skin and straight hair, and then look at her dauhter's natural hair and darker skin (Im not saying that the girl is dark, but she doesnt pass the 'paper bag test') and shes ashamed of that. Does anyone hear her voice? Shes talking like the white people that used to star in black & white television shows.

Shes soo damn uppity, and shes a liar. I hope that girl keeps her natural going. It looks cute.

  • -THT BITCH GT WEAVE IN HER HAIR ;

  • I know I am going to get harassed for making a comment on the black hair and being white, but I don't think either are prettier. I think they are both amazingly beautiful when you raise your head and be proud of your nationality or race. Your hair is an accessory, and you should wear it with pride!

  • @destinynj2013 Ofcourse we can wear braids! Why wouldnt we be able to? I disagree about washing, I'm white and I love being able to wash my hair everyday so I always feel fresh and clean. It kinda shocked me when tyra said a lot of black women can't wash their hair everyday due to dryness and straightening:/

  • @millyybabess Washing your hair everyday isn't good anyway. It strips the hair of natural oils, which can cause problems. When it comes to natural hair, washing everyday with a shampoo is a BIG no no, because our natural hair is so curly that the oils barely have time to reach the end of the shaft. We can however wash with a cleansing conditioner everyday if we choose. It really just depends on the individual.

  • Black people are lucky, white girls don't have the option to "go natural" or wear braids. they also go through the hassle of washing their hair everyday! ugh, I'm proud of my healthy, shoulder length relaxed hair. Black with natural brown "highlights" and i won't change it for the world! (:

  • I wonder if Tyra will do a segment on skin bleaching?

  • @TheWahnow She did.

  • @anjumstar3 do you know if it's on youtube?

  • @TheWahnow I'm sure if you search it you can find it, or maybe somewhere else on the internet. Good luck!

  • @TheWahnow she did these episodes are old, The Tyra show doesn't even come on anymore. But the bleaching episode is on here on Youtube just type it in the search engine.

  • That one bitch from pantene shit is sexy

  • Sharon is white as fuck rich bitch

  • Women have BIG problems. Seriously, who cares about "hair"?

  • i have no problem wit afros, kinky hair, straight hair, semi-curly, curly, weaves, individuals, kinky twist, but you just gotta let you real hair breathe every once in while.

also, if you wear weave, i dont wanna see your tracks. -_____-

  • I LOVE THIS ONE ! I WISH MY WHOLE FAMILY COULD WATCH THIS I CUT MY HAIR AND MY WHOLE FAMILY DIDNT LIKE IT AT ALL. they said i like you better with straight hair ughh black people/girls in this world today is being soo brainwashed.

    #myopinion

  • @AllyLuv18 the same thing happened to me but I love my hair so much!

  • @AllyLuv18 I cut my hair && my aunties pretty much said they prefer me wit longer hair && wats so bad about it is tht they asked my bf if he lyked my hair. Stupid bitches

  • @TheeBrittanyShow whats fake about it

  • to be honest, black woman look cleaner with natural hair because it makes more sense. i mean look at it this way, black skin & straight ''white-looking'' hair. It doesn't make sense so it's NOT beautiful.

and way, God wouldn't give you what is bad or not good enough.

  • The girl in the purple, Kimberly, has amazing hair

  • ahhh come on!!! these light skin mixed girls at the end have no idea what its like to deal with our hair its hard as hell to make naturall hair look neat.. when your not mixed like them.. their hair is wavy and naturally curly.. its hard for others .. real "black" peple hair african hair its like wool.. and hard ass hell to manage with out heat or chemicals......

  • @nicegurl216 afro hair is difficult to manage when you don't know how to deal with it. I've definitly stopped relaxing and I cut it all off last year. My hair is now 7 inches long. I know exactly what products my hair loves. I know exactly how to wear it to look good. I take only 10 minutes every night to braid it and 15 to style it in the morning. I'm very happy with my hair now. Don't believe my pseudo, my hair and I fell in love :) .

  • I don't know how these black women have the time to spend this long on their hair! It takes me almost half an hour to blow dry my hair after a show and I couldnt spend any longer than that. I suppose I'm lucky my hair is naturally straight:P

  • every type of hair is BEAUTIFUL! I have straight really FRIZZY hair and i love it because its my hair!!!!! i think that everybody should love their hair!!!

  • My hair was relaxed for the first time when I was four and I have relaxed it ever since. I am fifteen and I can't help but wonder what my natural hair would look like...

  • Tyra calls people out...... it's hilarious

  • The mother seems a little upidity!

  • I have had relaxed hair since i was 5 and it looked better than then it does now which i dont do it as much...

  • I love black hair. :) It REALLY is beautiful.

There is this black girl at my college with the prettiest natural afro hair I've ever seen! O.O I just want to touch it! Lol ;p

  • OMG!!! Tahita looks soooo much better with curly hair!!!

  • lol..it's weird with the first 2 sisters..i'm from a white family and my sister has really curly hair..and my hair is kind of plain..and i'm kind of gelous of her hair..:)

  • Oh my god, the winner of 'my black is beautiful' in the pink top has relaxed her hair! I thought the whole point of this show was to not straighten hair and love your natural, afro hair?! In the entry picture for the competition her hair looks soo fake, I can't believe she won!

  • Honestly, Although My hair is straightened and I did have a relaxer, I love being black and having black hair. I wear my hair straightened because I think it complements my face but when I see girls who have the face to rock afros and bigs curls, I think its so cute and cool. About a year ago i decided to grow out my relaxer and still wear it straight. The only reason i dont wear it as a short afro is cuz, again, it wouldn't fit me. When it grows out i wanna wear it naturally curly SO badly!

  • honestly i believe everyone can have "good hair" if they take care of it, in other words, DON'T PUT WEAVE OR TRACKS IN IT

  • There is so much internalised racism here it is hard to know where to begin: Tyra Banks talking about 'natural' hair and getting away from notions of 'good' hair and then at 6.09 her image appears at the bottom of the screen with long, wavy European-styled hair. Then you have the Essence winners, both of whom are light skinned. The 'beauty' industry makes money out of making you feel bad about yourself; for most black people it is about creating shame about being black- stop buying into it!

  • yall have no idea how fake this show is...

  • its sad that black people have slef hate n other people are racesis to them damn

  • thick big hair is much more beautiful than thin, shiny straight hair, that looks like a cow licked ur head... black, latin, asian, middle eastern and mediterranean hair is usually much better than that of blond europeans!

  • Now, my father-in-law brags on my daughter's long curly hair. I wish he'd brag like that on my youngest daughter's hair, too. She has very kinky hair & in my eyes, it's gorgeous, but it's hard to get the message across to her when so many others fail to acknowledge her beautiful hair.

  • When I went natural, my mom was sooo angry. She chewed me out & told me the devil was making me think my hair looked nice. I happened to marry a light-skinned man. Mom wasn't that happy about me getting married so soon, but she was thrilled at the prospects of having light-skinned grandchildren (my mom is very dark-skinned). When I had my first child, mom was so pleased & proud that my babygirl was light-skinned w/curly hair, but it made me sad that my mom felt that way over hair & complexion.

  • @Feelin1982 smh

  • @Feelin1982

    wow...your story teared me up.

  • @Feelin1982 Sounds more like your mum had issues being black more then the hair. Maybe people should try to see where the problem comes from insted of discussing ....... hair.

  • @Feelin1982 thatz terrible

  • @Feelin1982 omg my mom would like get soo mad if i got a perm! she is like natural all the way. but then again, both my mommy and i are swedish all the way. but i think the afro looks gorgeous!

  • @Feelin1982 and the 72 so sad so jus because of people like your mother's influence theres alot of ugly light skinned curly haired kids walking about not every light skin child is pretty to look @ growing up i used to put the towel on my head pretending it was mine bac then i aint gonna lie....but i recognize that no matter wat you try to change or compromise to be accepted ur still a nigga... didnt get Micheal Jackson anywhere and he tried real hard and that was a terrible sight .

  • @Feelin1982 Did you talk to her about it? It sounds like you guys need to have really long talk.

  • @ninjaeris131 It's been some time since this all happened. We've talked about it. She understands my views, but hasn't really abandoned hers (a difficult thing to do). I think the tension regarding my hair eased a bit after we were out together 1 day--the attention I got from the guys shocked us both. I guess after that, my mom figured my hair might not be so bad. Plus, as my hair grew I was able to do SOME styles that mom liked. And there's more to the story, but, yeah, we talked about it.

  • @Feelin1982 My mother is the same way too. But my mom is black white and native american, growing up she always talked about my hair and my skin color because according to her im her "blackiest" child. i have a four month old daughter and her dad is half japanese and my mom tells me all the time that she hopes Jun-ko (my daughter) stays light skinned and keeps her "good hair". And i tell her that i will love my daughter no matter what she looks like, she could even be a alien and i will love her

  • @Feelin1982 I feel your pain. I have the same type of mother, only she is brown-skinned.

  • watched all 5 parts and this is so strange and shocking! it's just hair... 3-year-old with a perm is just sick

  • Tara looks way better with short hair...

  • i dont really like tara's hair, if it was a bit longer it would look beautiful but its a bit short:/

  • @xbarbiefacex thats the whole reason why they had this episode, so that everyone could embrace their own hair , whether it was short or long...black is beautiful

  • Tara's hair looks beautiful short and natural. Her mother, Sharon, should realize times change and so do acceptable trends. Wearing chemically treated hair was a trend and black women can now wear their hair almost any way they want.

Kimberly's full hair is stunning on her.

  • I love African hair! It's sooo soft! I think it gives a beautiful ethnic and personal look. Sincerely a white girl with thin blonde strait (but also beautiful) hair

  • She looks like my friend Jaliyah the girl tationna

  • She looked soo much nicer with natural hair:)

  • People should do a lot of before and afters. In my opinion MOST black women look so much better once they achieve a healthy head of natural hair. It just attracts attention to your natural beauty

  • check out some of the youtube natural community. Girls like naptural85,aliciajamesmusic,tonidaley80,kasheeralatash,blackwomanscholar,lethalpleazure,fusionofcultures,jostylin, 60days2loose2 (my fav),womaninthejungle,simplyounique,naturalchoclate,ahsiek118,naturalbelle1,africanexport,foreseenatural,beautifulbrwnbabydol,msbrownsugar75,moptopmaven,haircrush,mstanish1,naturallynubian,coachjardy,atinawaya,101latyT,girlsloveyourcurls... lots of hair inspiration+ techniques.

  • @1adadada Don't forget @kimmaytube. I just chopped of my relaxed hair and I am SO happy I did.

  • After only having just learned finally how to care for my afro hair, despite being natural all my 44 years, I now realize that the problem is that black women don't know how versatile, beautiful and amazing natural hair can be when it is properly taken care of. The dreaded detangling, washing, combing , breakage etc, can be majorly eliminated by just knowing the right products, procedures and tools to use. This knowledge has fundamentally changed my relationship, to + experience of my hair.

  • I HATE how Tyra mocked the mom, very disrespectful & unprofessional.

  • @Amanotopia mom needed to be , as you say, "mocked".....the woman seems very phoney and hoity toity. And the mom would benefit from natural hair as well , because mom's hair looks thin and damaged....

  • @Amanotopia stuck a nerve with you. Did the mom remind you of yourself ?

  • @tianitra She didn't remind me of myself. I just don't think the mocking was necessary.

  • @missmuggledetector

Chill with that static. U cant speak for anyone but urself. To say that no black person wants their natural hair isnt smart because u dont know that. Natural hair is beautiful. God made us all differently. And He knows best. If black women were meant to have straight hair we would be born with it. In the meantime, make sure u have ur facts in order before u go and speak for an entire race of women.

  • This is why Tyra's show was cancelled. She is just WAY to much! She judges everyone to make herself look like her shit does not stink. Yes, they are all ignorant moms, we all know that but does Tyra have to make it so that everyone HATES them. Tyra is a woman who has worn weave, wigs, and tracks her whole life. Now because she's wearing her natural hair for the first time in YEARS, she wants to judge everyone. Guess what Tyra, you're not Jesus. And you're not Oprah either, not even close!!

  • @nicolejj2483 She stated at the beginning of the show that she wears weave and perm (she never denied that). And her show is really NOT that serious (not enough to take it to heart)...It is TV, and hype has to be created to "make" a good show...TV is certainly not all realistic...gotta make it interesting to get people to watch.

  • im australian and when i was ten i bought a curler and a crimper and tried to make my hair look african american.

I love their hair and mine is supposed to be "good hair"

  • @RavenCredaMalfoy the grass is always greener

  • @RavenCredaMalfoy lol its the human nature, everybody wants what they do not have

  • Last 30 seconds translated- "Okay guys, I'm gonna go back to wearing weave and putting chemicals in my hair after this episode, it's not cause I'm brainwashed or anythang, please don't think I'm a hypocrite!" :P

  • at least you have a choice to have hair. In Africa in primary school (elementary school) you had to have your hair shaved, be gland you have the choice to wear your hair the way you want to. hair will always be hair

  • @missmuggledetector I understand that everybody is entitled to their own opinion so therefore I will not berate you or call you names for stating your opinion. However I will state that there are black african women who perm, straighten and weave their hair for aesthetic reasons, for style, and easier management not all of us do it out of self hate. You said that latin / white women wear weaves for more volume why can't that same reason apply to african women? Well I think it could anyway.

  • my mom does my hair fo r up to 2 hours and never in my life time have i herd her complain.my mom is so busy and still does my hair. Now i have braids but still its half my hair to the piont where it stops! so all the mother who are to lazy to do there childs hair,i think are plain shelfish not good mother. I am 10 years old and i use to think that straight long hair was better but now i dont because if it curly does not mean it cant be long ,black people are born with swagg hair, they can rock it

  • Totiana and her sister are GORGEOUS...and brainwashed....

  • I'm surprised, this is actually a decent talkshow. never seen it before because they dont air it where i live, but i was expecting it was like all these other super-trashy american talkshows Oo

  • at 8:22 i see mariah carey resemblance

  • I just think it's sad that some mothers don't accept their kids as they are naturally..

  • I think the black women with natural hair look so much better than the permed

  • I have mixed race boys and I keep their hair beautifully , and my youngest boys hair is long ! These mothers are lazy whatever race the mom is

  • they r so lucky, i wis my hair was curly, but when i make it curly it ends up looking wierd half straight half curly

  • FUCK. THAT. NOISE. tsk, black women who try to "appear" to have straight hair are the MAIN reason there is no righteousness in having natural hair. Lost souls I say.

  • No. Keep it straight or cover it up. (Myself included as a black male)

  • @MsSeterra You're welcome! Black people are beautiful just the way they are. No need to change anything :D

  • I'm so grateful for this video. I just did "the big cut" today after letting the perm grow out. I felt very self-conscience after. But after watching this I'm definitely ready to embrace my twa and learn to love my hair which is something I should have been taught as a child.

  • LOL notice how tyra has her hair braided. That's just rich.

  • the girl in the purple is beautiful

  • Her hair looks lovely short natural!

  • I'm a white girl and I got a weave today so now my hair's long like I've always wanted, it's not just black women who get them. Why is it more accepted for me to get a weave than a black woman? I didn't like my hair so I did something about it.

  • you don't need to african-american to have "nappy" hair you don't need to be african-american to pull it off i'm a latina who has nappy hair with some curl and im damn proud but honestly it's a hassle i get called michael jackson or bob marley who has dreads

  • I think the reason why African-American women are born with very curly hair is because they can pull ot off! Like Tyra said, having the woman's hair natural instead of chemically tamed allowed the world to see her amazing bone structure and facial features. I think most white women would look ridiculous with that really curly hair because we're not buit for it. African-American women should be so thankful that they have something so unique and beautiful to flaunt. =)

  • To be honest, African hair, natural African isn't as appealing as when they straighten it out.Caucasian hair (and that includes Indians) and Asian hair is better because it is soft and silky and manageable and not coarse and kinky like African hair. This video was politically correct, and obviously Tyra hates her own hair as well which is why she straightens it out. No black person or most black people want their natural hair and everyone knows it.

  • @missmuggledetector if we didnt want our hair natural, we wouldnt have it natural. how dare you sit there and judge our hair. everyones hair is beautiful and tbh, i bet your hair might be kinda straight but you still feel the need to straighten or get a brazillian blow out. why? if your hair is so perfect, why do some white latin or asian women get "extensions" aka WEAVES? girl please. dont even. kalaysia's hair is beautiful, all of there hairs are beautiful.

  • Um, they get hair extentions not because they hate their hair, and not because it's kinky or whatever - they get it because they want more hair. The texture of African hair is extremely unpleasent and yes; I DO dare to sit here and say what I want and no I don't care if it's not politically correct. There's a HUGE difference in straightening your hair with an iron and doing what African ladies do to keep their hair in check. Don't like what I'm saying? Don't read it then.

  • @missmuggledetector its not unpleasant; its versitile and if you take care of it very pretty. just becos its not bone straight and can hold a style doesn't make it unpleasant, and unless your black you cant say shit about it and what its like. dont know what your talking about? dont speak.

  • Personally, I work part time at a hair salon after school. I've seen African hair, and felt it and it's texture is unpleasant. I'm not talking about bone straight hair, I'm talking about feeling, texture, and roughness and coarseness. Obviously you didn't know what I was talking about and assumed I only meant "bone straight hair." Caucasians, and Asians who get a perm to get curly hair - their hair STILL will never feel like an African person's hair. That's why they change it so drastically.

  • @missmuggledetector you are absolutely wrong. Most of us that are of African descent appreciate the natural hair that god gave us. Get the lice or insects or whatever the fuck can attach on to that thin bull shit you think is so much better. You are a racist inbreed genetically mutated low life scum of the earth. Stay the hell away from my people you sick white muthafuckin bitch!! and I mean it.

  • LOL so because I don't like African hair, I'm immediately, "racist", "inbread", and "white." Nice stereotype hunny. Always play the race card it seems. I suppose if a black person said they don't like Caucasian/Asian hair, they would SO not be racist - I mean, that's totally impossible! At the hair salon I work at, I get a lot of African ladies, who come in there complaining about their "nappy" hair and how much they hate it. One even said, that most women DO dislike their hair.

  • @impresioname33 HOUSE NEGRO.

  • @cupcake30001

Girl I couldn't agree with you more I love latino men( south central american indian) loads of them are so fuckin sexy I love venezuelans(indians) especially I'm black and I really didn't date black men just those latinos I just can't help it I love papi chulos too :-D

  • i'm white and i've toootally wanted to rock the black woman afro (..is that politically correct..?) before. it sucks that the media has given black hair this bad image - however, it's not really different from so many other bad images that it gives us (such as making girls think that looking emaciated is good).

  • wtf she avoids introducing her daughter???

She's ashamed of her own daughter because of her hair??!? That bitch needs to be beat!

  • I struggled so namely with my hair. I even cut it off, degree it, then relaxed it AGAIN. Even when it caused me to cut it off. I stopped and Ive been going natural since. Thank god

  • I LOVE Tara's hair!! Cute twa ftw <3

  • well i like my hair stright. like latinos n i dont want him to feel napy hair. my is not that kincky n nappy but havinh it so long makes things harder so i jus relax it. i dont date black men. not trying to be racist but i gew up in a spanish neiborhood so i find latino's more atrative n my hair bein straight soo. im not tellin any1 to do anything so dont be replying to dis. i mean it, dont do it.

  • @cupcake300 My boyfriend is latino:) ...P.S. don't ever worry about them feeling or not appreciating "nappy, kinky" hair. Some don't find it attractive, but I have found that a good chunk of them actually like it. ;) Trust me, beauty is in the eye of the beholder -but as you said before-its your personal preference :)

  • i see a youtuber!

  • @KrissyCautious I don't blame tyra for making fun of that lady. That lady should be ashamed for disowning her daughter because of her appearance you should accept your child with whatever hairstyle he/she has. Because that's the way your child wants it and that's the your child feels comfortable so her mother should embrace her not disgrace. tyra was making a point and that lady should change the way she is because it's wrong for her to act in that manner towards her daughter.

  • All hair is great. At least you have it. People who have cancer loose it.

  • wow I hate how Tyra made fun of how the girl's mom was talking. people epress themselves in different ways and what Tyra did was just rude and annoying

  • all hair is hair anyway!

  • there hair is like gorgeous, mine won't hold a curl for 2 minutes!

  • @suzzsweety we need more people like you!!

  • And I have Indian hair thick curly its really frustrating

  • I'm Hispanic Indian and my mom who is Hispanic is the same way about my hair... She loves it when its long I couldn't cut it till after my quincenera and even now that I'm 20 she will get bad if I want to cut it

  • 4:49 mockery not needed. Tyra got a lil personal it seemed D:

  • @hikana18 Definitely unecessary

  • @hikana18 Sometimes people mock people just to show how ridiculous they sound. We all do it. Would you rather had Tyra just told her that she sounds ridiculous or mock her to keep things cool? Tyra mocking her was basically saying that she sounds stupid.

  • @gmcmim1 There's a more professional and pleasant way to do that than to resort straight away to offending a person on national tv. sorry.

  • Do you guys see blaqueindigo in the background at 5:13? The lady with the locs in a ponytail and earrings? She was once a youtuber on here but left after a video of her came out where she was touching a man's penis at a bar for $150.00. People started calling her bad names and saying she was a hypocrite.

  • @kingsmith19991 if you read my comment i whas talking about that mother that was ashame of her daugther becouse she cut her hair and be all natural.

  • My hair is really bushy and thick, so I straighten it all the time. I would really love to keep it natural, but being in high school, that just isn't an option.

  • @juxmook THANK YOU!!you know exactly how i feel

  • I like her natural hair and her mother is a bitch

  • her mom is terrible.

  • (Continuation) But I think that one girl in the video had great looking hair and her mother was being terrible to her!
