  • Despite being fairly intact the cars might be slightly difficult to restore having being wet for so long. Might make great parts donators though

  • Excellent excellent video!!

Why did it sink / break in two?

  • Nice video thanks, kinda spooky!

  • nah, the music keeps things jolly. Great vid!

  • hey I would loved to ask you some question about diving this deep.

    Could you P.M me

  • superb!

  • If this is in the Great Lakes those cars are in horrible condition for fresh water. Sure, the body sub-structure is wood on the Nash'es pictured, but you would think the sheetmetal would fair better.

  • your joking pal, they've been in water for nearly 80 years!!!

  • I dove the Lakeland several times and the condition of those cars is nothing short of spectacular. There's one section where the hull is split open and there's a car hanging out of it. I swam by, slid my finger along the side, and the black paint was still shiny. The tires were still pumped full of air as well... Beautiful.

  • single tank at 200' is kinda ballsey!!! Personally i like doubles and a stage...

  • We use 120's and have backups for everything. Plus we use the one third rule for air. Why take more gear than necessary. If you plan your dive and dive your plan it isn't so ballsey.

  • Ballsey is an understatement. People with the proper tech dive training know why you don't do a dive like this on a single tank of any size + a pony.

  • Wow, that was fascinating! Thanks for posting!

  • Very cool dive video. I'm amazed at the water's clarity. And the cars from that time are dowm there. Very interesting post. Thank you.

    How did she sink?...storm?.....capsized?

  • She was first thought that she sank because of a storm. In the late 1990's some divers photographed the engine room and found that the seacocks where open. So she was sunk by the crew and captain for the insurance money.

  • ahhh.....scuttled for insurance money.

  • @photokjb What a bunch of jerks! Those cars down there are treasures!

  • wow thank you so much for the video this is one of the best i ever seen. i figured it was a recent ferry not that long ago amazing really is where is the rest of the cars?

  • Were people killed?

  • No casualities from this ship wreck. all where rescued.

  • Sorry, I missed the types of cars aboard. No Fords here!! I initially thought these were all used cars.

  • Very nice work. Probably a low milage Model A in ther somewhere.

  • Single Tank and Stage cool :-P very creative

  • a rollins auto was raised in '79
