  • when riding you can tell when your horse is shaky or not going fast enough to clear the jump so w/ all these riders they should've felt that and pulled their horse out you can get a "refusal" for pulling them out or you and your horse can flip over

  • @eventer13256

Any experienced rider would ALSO know that you cannot completely evaluate someone's ride by looks alone. You have no idea what they did or did not feel in their mount, so to apply such a comprehensive solution suggestion to any of these independent situations just makes you sound foolish... particularly when ya consider that every single one of these riders is competing at the Olympic level (4*s), and would thus be able to correct the situation were it as "simple" as you envision

  • its the horses i care about dont care about the riders :L

  • Ouch

  • has anyone noticed that almost all rotational falls in videos like these seem to be "way back when"? I'm glad eventing is producing better riders & safer fences.

  • @Brodiebby

Truth be told, I think it's more a matter of you WANTING to see that, than actually seeing such.

Sure courses and expectations have changed in the 21yrs+ that these clips were taken from, but I've got plenty of vids of similar spills from 2001+ as well.

  • @ImmortalSynn I know there's still PLENTY of rotationals/bad falls. I was just at the area VI championships and saw 2 bad ones while jump judging. However, there's not as many as there used to be. In Rolex 2010 compared to Rolex 1975-90 there are so fewer bad falls. There's also less consecutive falls at shows, it's not common to have rotational after rotational on the same course, on the same fence like you see in these videos.

  • Ow. The majority of these look like both horse AND rider got hurt...

  • epic soundtrack!

  • As long as the horse gets up & isn't injured it's always funny

  • wow dumbasses this isnt funny

  • eh, get a grip

  • the horse at 0:55 looked like it was daydreaming.....then boom.

  • 0:08 = lol XP gave the horse a childish appearance :P then it was a embaressed appearance XD, I love how horses look so cute when they are embarresed. Screw pranking humans, lets allgang up on horses 8D

0:55 made me wince though oO

  • Y'know... I never noticed before, until your review of that time slot brought it to my attention-- but it looks like that rider's in a prison suit.

    Weird. LOL

  • Prison escape gone wrong XP

  • ...considering the enclosed nature of that obstacle, it looks like the horse is putting him right back into the slammer :)

  • "Suuureee, i'll jump it for you...

guys guys, the eagle has landed" *spoken into a watch"

  • some of those you have to hope the horse wasn't a stallion.......lol gotta love cross country!

  • ouch, theres some good falls there, but painfull by the looks

  • how do ppl like this stuff?

  • when it goes right we like it :P when it goes like this....we live with it (or not...) haha

  • ...and all the trainers said: "Amen"

  • Ahaha! Very good :D my trainers are frequently praying hehe

  • wow the guy at 0:43 slid like 2 feet

  • ...good call, I never really noticed that before.

  • no no no

  • Wow poor horses an the riders, I hope they got Blue Shield.
