You use this so you can match whatever forage fish is in the water you are fishing. An example is to use the Perch Colors in waters where perch live if you are trolling for walleye.
that's a spinning reel you're got there, not a spincast reel. nobody uses (or wants to use) spincast reels except maybe unfortunate children. :) and that isn't a spinner on your line, it's a snap swivel. a spinner is a type of lure.

It is the only reel I have ever seen last 25 years and still working like when it was new with no breakdowns ever. I currently use it if I want to set up a live bait rig while I fish an open-face, leaving the reel set open so if a fish takes it, it can strip line off while I get to it. Say what you want. The old ones were good, tough reels.

You have good rapalas asnd you know where to use them but 2:54 is not good for saltwater fishing, i only practice saltwater fishing and i bought that color and it isnt good for saltwater, may be good for lakes
I love Rapala's and have since the 80's and believe that you can meet any condition with them in your box for Bass, however if your going after Rainbows other than lake trout I found the Rooster Tail spinners worked slow up stream are the best, maybe a fly. The trick to lures is to find out what the fish are feeding on ,especially in clear water. In muddy water you match the water and work off vibration Fishing is about learning and your on the right track, just remember each trip is unique.
Dude the first and last rapala colors were way off. I hope you realize that those colors either change or disapear at about 10-15 ft. Both are perch and walleye lures. Good luck catching that 50 pounder with that kind of judjement.
