Well, even if that was the case, I'm not saying it was him who knows, but if police suspect someone of being a murderer, rapist or pedophile, than you'd think that the police should be notified, by law, when a patient is released, or taken off the grounds, to track their whereabouts. The man Ness interrogated, and who later committed himself, was Dr. Francis E. Sweeney (d 1964). His cousin was Congressman Martin Sweeney, a political opponent of Ness' who may have used his juice to protect Francis.
